Daufuskie Crab Co

Not sure if it was the day or what but it was a bit rough. The workers (though very busy) were rude and very short with people. They continuously messed up food and orders all around us including ours. I waited for an hour for my tacos and finally went to ask and was told it’ll just be like that. And when I pressed they realized they lost my order. My sister ordered a blt and it came as a B and then when she sent it back it came back as a BL. This place is also very overpriced but on this island there’s really not many options so they capitalize on that for sure. The view is gorgeous from this place though.

This restaurant has bar counter service and once you order it takes about an hour for the food to arrive. We chose shrimp baskets and a fish basket and all three arrived with hot seafood and cold french fries.

I ordered a Frozen (should have known better) Mango Margarita, the devild crab and hushpuppies; my husband ordered the pepperoni pizza. The margarita tasted like lime ice, no flavor of Tequila or mango. The deviled crab, 11.99??, had good flavor however the portion size was very small. Tbe hushpuppies were good, not great. Cocktail Sauce was not homemade, I mean seriously, it's catsup and horseradish. The pepperoni pizza was good but nothing special. The view was beautiful ,looking out over tbe water. Would we come back? Probably not; however it is one of tbe Few restaurants on Daufuski Island..

So much fun!

I loved the local, outdoor, by-the-water atmosphere, but there were a lot of folks walking around showing off skin, drinking, and cussing. Not really family-friendly. We came at a time when a band was there and the speakers were turned up hot. That is on us. I will probably come back during the day, rather than the evening, because the food was delicious.

Perfect place to set awhile on the river after touring Daufuskie Island. The Flounder sandwich was awesome!

We USED to stop here and spend $100+/- per couple. Three of us anchored and came in by dinghy ..... they wanted $10 per dinghy to tie up so we could ear and drink. NOT ANY MORE!

Today I had my family in the inside bar and a saw short brunette bartender using offensive language and flipping the bird to a customer she was obviously upset with. I do not want my family subject to that kind of obscenity no matter right or wrong. In my day an employee would be fired for that type of behavior.

Amazing service, amazing food, and amazing drinks!! As soon as we came in, we were offered menus and a good time! At the bar we were given samples of their speciality drinks and let me tell you one is all you need. My husband and I had one each and were feeling fine all night! They also had local beers which my husband said were great! We loved and came for the fried oysters and shrimp but the drinks, service and good time was why we stayed and enjoyed ourselves!! We will definitely be back!!!
