Food was mediocre. I had blackened fish tacos. Each taco had one small finger sized piece of fish with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Others in the group had flounder sandwiches and days 3 they were good. Pretty much the only food choice on the island.
First time on Daufuskie and we had a good time. Fun little crab restaurant, basic menu, drinks and live music. The only downside is you have to pay $10 to go onto the island. Also food definitely took awhile, we went on a busy Friday. Felt very hot, sticky and crowded. Drinks were good and we met some fun vacationers. Definitely a dive, I liked it
We sat at bar and bartenders were great. We ordered our food - soft shell crab fried sandwich and fried flounder. Both were good but we waited almost 45 minutes and almost missed our water taxi so if you go make sure you give yourself plenty of time and don’t have to rush to eat.
