“I had the sesame chicken combo, subbed lo mien for rice and added an egg roll. It's the best Chinese food I've had in my 4 years of living on SC. Its a small store front restaurant, and it's much better did than what your think you're about to get!“

“The food was amazing ! The fried rice was on point . I had gotten some chinese’s food a few weeks ago in five forks near my home and was very dissatisfied. The rice was plain and brown with no pork, onions , They got so cheap that they dont even leave out condiments any more . This plastic has restored my faith in what chinese’s food should taste like.“

“I’ve lived here for 24 years, and tonight was the first time I’d ever been to (or even heard of ) Shanghai Tokyo. I’m from NY and was lucky to experience some of the best Chinese out there. Y’all...this place is hands down THE BEST Chinese I’ve ever had in Greenville! I took a bite of each of my dishes and found myself talking aloud (to myself) about how good it was and how happy I am! 🤣🤦♀️“

“I can't praise this place enough! We have been going here for years and they always know who we are and what we order. The food is exceptional and the service is even better. Highly recommend this place if you haven't eaten here before.“

“Food tastes great and price is very reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. However, hopefully the front end of the restaurant does not reflect the rest of it including the kitchen. The place is takeout only, no place to eat. The front of the restaurant is super messy. Junk everywhere in an area which used to be a buffet. Toys, chairs, and general items scattered all over the place. Kind of not a great first impression.... That said... again food tasted good and fresh and lunch special came out to around $10 for a box of rice and sesame chicken plus a spring roll. If they would clean up the front and make it look nice this would be a 5/5 place.“

“Have been to the woodruff road location for years...but have started going to this location more and more. This location is easy to get in and out of and the wait staff seem very attentive the food is delicious as well. If I could only get them to open a location in Spartanburg...lol“

“I love the flavor of the food authentic! Small buffet but good variety. They remodeled a little through out the years but looks outdated, maybe the color needs changed. Outside is just plan needs better color added to building maybe flowers.“

“The food was piping hot even when I got home 20 minutes later! Wonton soup and egg rolls is usually what I judge a Chinese restaurant by and they didn’t not disappoint! Wontons were nice and thin and not too eggy or thick. The soup broth was spot on! Egg rolls were excellent. This first try had me at hello. The staff was not very friendly but I am used to going to the same place for 20 yrs before moving here, so I hope that as they see me more they will be more friendly next time! Repeat customer I will be! Thank you!“

“Fried Rice Worth the Return Trip
Currently ranking as my #1 or #2 fried rice in Greenville, this spot really surprised me. The portion size for the main plates is a little off for the price, but the real value comes from the rest of the combination platter. Around $12–$13 for soup, an appetizer, and a full meal. Fairly good for 2025.
The food overall was great, but the fried rice is what truly stands out. Bold, salty, and loaded with extras, it puts the usual “rice and a few peas” approach to shame. The interior feels outdated, but the kindness of the staff more than makes up for it. I’ll be back for the fried rice alone.. it’s that good from my personal preference.“

“Out of about 6 Panda Restaurants that we have ate at in different areas, this was the best food we have had at one. Everything was better than we expected, even the tea. Ours in Spartanburg could take some notes from you guys for sure! Also it was as quick but fresh as it could be.“

“I am still dragging after a bad cold, and my husband spent today in bed with a similar affliction. We wanted an easy, affordable, tasty dinner (featuring soup) that we could enjoy at home, and took a chance on Asian Kitchen. He enjoyed wonton soup, I loved their hot and sour soup. Dumplings were tasty (their sauce was great!), and vegetable fried rice was gorgeous and delicious….perfectly cooked rice, crisp/tender veggies, great flavor. May be the best vegetable fried rice I’ve had in years. Pleasant service, very clean space, affordable prices.“
