“Overall I love this place because of the food but they need to work on their customer service when going face-to-face addressing the customer while ordering they just need to smile and be a little bit more courteous being polite and in a good mood and attitude is part part of the job“

“Came in for lunch and got the shrimp with broccoli with noodles. The food was great and came out hot and fresh. I’ve been patronizing this business for years and it’s time I give them a shoutout. There’s also a sign on the door that these hardworking people are going to be open for Thanksgiving. Please go give them a try!“

“I first heard about this spot from local influencer @healthyishdani, who called it her favorite sushi place—so of course I had to try it. Absolutely did not disappoint! The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. I can honestly say this place deserves all the hype. “Easily our favorite hibachi and the Sakura roll is a must have. We appreciate the fresh cut vegetables in our meals instead frozen like it usually is at hibachi restaurants. The service is always great and the restaurant is clean. If you live close do not pass on Sakura!“

“I love Joy of Tokyo to begin with. However, this one is exceptional. I came in and communicated that I wasn’t able to read the menu (I just had to move down the counter a little bit in order to see better and said this to make me walking away a bit less awkward). The kind guy at the front voluntarily started explaining the menu and reading each item very professionally, respectfully, and patiently. I was blown away by the kind gesture, which is the essence things that make dining anywhere a stellar experience.

“I used to go to this location all the time before moving out of SC. I loved it so much, and I really wish there was a location in the Rochester, NY area. This may be strange to leave in a Google review, but please set up locations up here in NY. I dream of the great taste and value of Joy of Tokyo, and I would love to share it here.“

“Here are the only three reasons you need to eat here: first, the service is fantastic. It's like being in a full service restaurant without the wait times and price of a full service restaurant. Second, the food is delicious. Best sesame and bourbon chicken around. Third, they have the best egg rolls I've ever eaten. “We took out 7 year old for his birthday dinner, the experience started off great. We showed up and we're seated on time, waitress came by and got drink orders and that's when the night slowed down. It took quite some time between ordering drinks and ordering food, the chef didn't do anything spectacular but the food tasted fine and he didn't take longer than the average. Between the chef starting and finishing our waited didn't come by one time so I was out of drink pretty much from start to finish of the cooking. When she did come by I ask for a refill and she went to get that and the checks. She came back by a few minutes later and didn't have my drink and the checks were all mixed up. After that I never saw her again, the manager(possibly owner) came by and said the checks were up front. She made it seem like that was normal but I've never been to a Japanese style restaurant where you doing get your checks at the table and have to go to the hostess stand to see them and pay. We didn't get a birthday song. And no drinks to go, thankfully we did get white sauce. I will be hesitant to go back.“

“Consistently good meals, whether we eat in or order to go, ever since they opened several years ago. We like the chicken, steak, or shrimp bowls with noodles or you can have rice. Our friends say Konnichiwa has the best sushi in this area. Always friendly and attentive service. Highly recommend.“
