“The food was mediocre. My daughter got meatloaf and she said it tasted like a tv dinner. It made her stomach hurt and she threw up. She said it felt like something plastic came out. I had country style steak with mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and pinto beans. You could tell the pinto beans were from a can, instant potatoes and the Mac and cheese left a lot to be desired. The only thing that was good is the sampler appetizer. Probably my last time I’ll eat there.“

“We tried this restaurant for my husband's birthday. It was our first time there. We were very pleased with our meals. I had halibut and my husband had the salmon. Both were prepared to perfection. And what can I say about sweet Kennedy, our server? She was wonderful. We will definately be coming back.“

“Consistently good seafood. Fresh tasting, properly cooked and seasoned. Friendly and attentive service. Not too casual and not too fancy but a good dining experience. More expensive than some local places but some of the best seafood in the area.“

“Excellent meal & service! We came for our 40th Wedding anniversary. My husband is more of a ribeye steak man. He ordered the sirloin and said that was the best steak he had ever had. I ordered the rainbow trout and it too was the best I had ever had. Thank you. We had a wonderful dinner and we will be back soon.“

“I should have posted here years ago. I have just read the reviews for the first time at the time of my writing this review.I know that I am recognized there and I recognize some of the employees. I have purchased from here many times and many different types fish and shellfish. Usually, I am getting sashimi grade Ahi and Mahi, which has always been outstanding. I let them know what I intend on making and the shape and sizes prepared for me have been thought out.Always great quality and great prices. I'm buying for myself not a restaurant. I like that I don't have to purchase large quantities or whole fish.I call ahead and get my order prepared sometimes a day ahead, sometimes the same day. I'm not a restaurant so I understand that they are really doing me a service; I am not keeping them in business. Many wholesalers in the industry don't want to deal with the public for the very reason that is expressed in some of the negative reviews. Fisherman can't always go out, they don't always catch what they want or know how much they'll catch. The markets don't always have what you want because they only have fresh catches. Big orders and regular customers come first. And if you are willing to eat fish that has been out of the water for days - go to the supermarket. The staff has always been polite and appropriate; I don't actually want a hug or need a new BFF. I want fish fit for making my own sushi and I have been using the fish from G.U.S.T.O. at least three meals a week.“

“What an amazing experience. My wife and I celebrated our 9 year engagement anniversary this evening and we were blown away! The food was phenomenal and the service was absolutely top notch! Luke, our server, was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond any expectation we could have dreamed of. I've never had someone who was so committed to making our experience truly special! You're one of a kind my guy! Kaden did an excellent job ensuring we were well taken care of! The manager, David I believe was his name, was attentive and checked in multiple times to ensure we were having a great time and enjoying our experience. The food and drinks were excellent! My most humble and gracious compliments to the chef and bartender! Seriously, can't thank y'all enough for making us feel so welcome! We greatly appreciate each and every one of you. Will not hesitate to return for another special occasion because you guys and gals absolutely rock! 10 out of 10, will most definitely recommend!“

“I've seen it in the making, which it always will be due to the second to none creativity of the owner, and that same endless creativity also goes into the delicious food items. A place where you can point at any food item on the menu with your eyes closed and always be surprised and delighted with what comes out of the kitchen. If you're looking for varied and delicious cuisine and an awesome selection of beverages in a great atmosphere with friendly staff, look no further.“

“I had the most delicious fish sandwish at M&J Restaurant today for lunch. The server was attentive and prompt with drinks, and the food was piping hot when brought to the table. We all enjoyed the restaurant very much and we will go there again as our son lives in Lyman and it is close to his house. They have lots of TVs so I bet for fotball games the place really fills up.“

“One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The atmosphere is wonderful. We started with an appetizer of the thick cut bacon which was to die for. Followed up by the New York Strip which was cooked to perfection, and possibly the most flavorful steak I’d ever eaten. We usually do not get desert, but everything so far was so delicious that we could not pass it up. We tried the white chocolate banana cream pie and the butter cake, and an espresso martini. OMG is all I can think to say. Stefan was our waiter, and he was amazing with his detailed descriptions and recommendations. We will definitely be back, and will hopefully be waited on by Stefan again.“

“Tried Grand China for the first time last night and I am so glad to have finally found a good Chinese take out in the upstate. We ordered the pepper steak and the Mongolian beef dinner combos as well as an order of sweet & sour chicken. They were delicious and the portions were huge! Even the crab Rangoon and egg rolls were tasty. However, we weren’t a fan of the pork fried rice…. So I’d sub it out for white rice next time. 10/10 recommend!“

“5 Stars - Exceptional Dining Experience
My wife and I visited Lieu’s Asian Bistro last night, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! We hadn’t been in a while, but from the moment we walked in, we were promptly seated and reminded why we’ve always enjoyed this gem.
I wasn’t feeling 100%, so I opted for a ginger ale with bitters and a water with three lemons (my go-to drink), while my wife had sweet tea. We started with the Miso and Wonton soups alongside the Spring Rolls, which were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. My wife noted a surprise bit of chicken in her miso soup but still found it delicious.
For our entrées, my wife chose the Pan-Fried Chilean Sea Bass with ginger, scallions, and a sweet soy glaze over a bed of spinach, served with white rice. She said it was cooked to absolute perfection—easily the best in the Upstate! I had the Shrimp & Scallops with snow peas, shiitake mushrooms, and a delicate white wine sauce. It was equally phenomenal.
We were so satisfied that we had no room for dessert, though my wife has her sea bass leftovers to enjoy later. I had only a little left on my plate because it was just that good.
The service was prompt and attentive, making our dining experience seamless. My only minor suggestion would be a decor refresh to brighten the interior and update the dining area, but I know that’s a big undertaking.
The food, however, is perfection and needs no changes. Lieu’s remains a hidden culinary treasure—fabulous food and a fabulous experience! 5 stars!“

“Neighborhood "meat and three", early dinner, really good meal!! I never get chicken livers, but decided to try. Good choice, crispy coating, not overcooked. Old fashioned stewed cabbage, nicely flavored, Mac and cheese, we all have our favorite styles for that. Corn muffin, sweet, but a good contrast to the cabbage“
