They accommodated our large group quicker than estimated. They were very friendly, even though we had a complicated group. Was disappointed that they were out of boiled shrimp and oysters, but I had the salmon and it was delicious.

This was the loudest restaurant I've ever been in. Obnoxiously loud with people talking. Food was ok. The steak had a lot of fat and little flavor, very small baked potato, but the lima beans were delicious. The cold boiled shrimp was great as were the kids chicken tenders. The service was great though. Our waitress was excellent even though she was swamped (no pun intended!) There was outdoor seating with live music but the no see ums were so bad on the marsh no one could sit out there....beautiful view though. Seriously, when I say loud, I mean LOUD!!!!! The more people came, the louder it got and this was a week night. I seriously wanted to stand up and yell, "OK everybody, take your voice levels down a notch or two!" Not that enjoyable for what could have been a great dining experience.

Sauce on chicken picatta was very watery. Chicken was very good though. Shrimp alfredo was creamy, saucy, and delicious.

We dined at Pressley's two weeks ago on a Saturday evening. I got the $27 overpriced encrusted grouper. There was nothing "encrusted" about it. It was a wet drippy yellow cheese mess. The veg of the day was canned green beans. Gross. The baked potato was good. My son got the chicken piccata. There were way too many capers on the dish, which didn't help with the flavor of the very bland pasta. He said the chicken was good. But certainly not worth the $25 price. Our server was lovely, but didn't make up for the bad food. And they no longer serve their black bean freebie appetizer, which has been the best thing I've had there in all the times we've been. I've had more disappointing visits here than good.

Service was phenomenal. Food was good quality, but a bit pricey for some of the items. The grits were fantastic. The views were incredible! Plan to arrive early if you want to eat without a super long wait!

Pressley's at the Marina Dec 2023 Went there to eat for the first time. Found they don't officially serve food till 4:30 and it was 4:20. Was told we could sit at the bar where we would have to order a drink which we were not interested in doing. Now I would think seeing I was disabled that they would at least let us sit at a table where they didn't have serve us food until it was time. Instead they made us stand in this narrow hallway where employees kept walking back and forth making us feel extremely uncomfortable. Also there are 3 Flights of stairs to climb just to get to the restaurant. And the Bathrooms are all the way down at bottom of stairs. So if you're handicapped beware. Had we known this before hand we never would have gone there. Now the waitress was very pleasant & helpful. The food was subpar for the prices we paid. Fried pickles were so thinly sliced that you couldn't taste them and the batter had little flavor. We didn't finish eating them. The scallops seemed undercooked and not very hot (Luke warm). Again very little flavor. Baked potato was good. ( At $ 34.00 l would expect a little better. Maybe being a New Englander I'm spoiled by our Seafood. All and all I wasn't impressed by my first and last visit.

Awesome food! The salads looked great and I think I will order one next time. We had fried shrimp, clams and oysters with grits of course.

Visited Pressleys Monday evening and Thursday evening while on vacation and 'wow' great food, Dani was our server both nights and she is fantastic and the view was fantastic. The cheese sticks you've got to tried as well as the poppers for appetizers. We had both and the crustard grouper, Jumbo shrimp both fried and boiled are outstanding. Make a point of placing this on your list of places to eat while in Edisto.

The food was delicious. The pimento cheese spread is so good. We had shrimp and scallops. Both were cooked perfectly. I had grits on the side and these were some of the best I've ever had. The view is so pretty. Our server was friendly and helpful and the service was spot on. The only negative thing was the noise. It's very loud in there because it's small and crowded. But the food and the view made up for that.

The food here is subpar at best. I got the bacon wrapped scallop skewers and the scallops were so overcooked they looked like McNuggets and were hard as rocks. They swapped out the skewers for regular broiled scallops and those were cooked well but inedible salt bombs. The calamari for the table was lackluster, with bland, almost soggy breading. The salads were ok, but just salad. The shrimp and grits portion is so generous, but the dish is so overly rich and dense. The space is fun, on the smaller side, with fantastic views of the water. Bring a jacket, the AC is kicking and not adjustable. We went when the outside air was about 60 and it was freezing. Also of note, the restaurant is upstairs and the parking lot is gravel so it's not very ADA friendly. The absolute saving grace of our experience was our server, Dany. She is excellent at anticipating issues, accommodating and friendly. She asks all the right questions to get your meal just right, but to no fault of hers, obviously can't control the quality of the food preparation. She is top-notch!

Our group arrived around 6pm so had a short wait. However, it was well worth it. Impeccably friendly service, as well as delicious food. Highly recommend the fried jumbo shrimp or grouper. Ask for Dani, she's the best of their waitstaff.

Great food, great service, I had fried clams, wife had Parmesan encrusted grouper. They were both excellent, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
