“F those people who saying they had bad service. If you shuffled in from the beach and need a beer immediately, then walk up to the bar and ask for one... and you shall receive. Cool out. It's a good place to grab a drink (perhaps a few), take care of your appetite (hamburgers are good), and relax. Nothing fancy and not for the uptight.“

“No Way You Leave Hungry! Petite portions are the last thing you're going to find at this John's Island establishment. So loosen those belts, get your taste-buds ready, and prepare to carbo load on the best sandwiches and sides this side of Charleston! The restaurant is surrounded by a gravel lot. Motorcycle riders will be glad to find a thin strip of cement at the front of the parking lot. Tattoed Moose regularly hosts live music throughout the week and on the weekends. These bands can set up outside under the oaks trees or inside on a small wooden stage. The inside of Tattoed Moose looks likes a hunting cabin designed by post-frat Harley riders. Hey that's not a bad thing! There are no preconceived notions that you have to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, or act a certain way to enjoy this establishment. Just sit back, sip a good beer, listen to some tunes, and uhhh.....oh yeah, eat! Begin your meal with some of the fries cooked in duck fat. The fries are unsalted but they are paired with a great dipping sauce that compliments the flavor of the fires nicely. The fries can also be topped with blue cheese and garlic OR a healthy heaping hopped-up serving of gravy. You'll definitely want to continue poutine these in your mouth! The Mexican street corn caught my eye, so I had to give it a try. I am happy to say that it does not disappoint. It is absolutely slathered in lime aioli, then rolled in cajita cheese, and chili powder. Now on to the main event. SANDWICHES. You get your money's worth when it comes to the portion sizes of the sandwiches at Tattoed Moose. You'll find the menu filled with tasty options like the falafel pita sandwich pictured above. Every sandwich is served with house made pickles and cajun pork rinds. You can, of course, swap out the pork rinds for another side like baked beans, short rib chili, cauliflower casserole, Caesar salad, brunswick stew or the aforementioned street corn and duck fat fries. The sandwich that caught my attention was the Pork Belly and kimchi sub. This was some of the thickest, tastiest pork belly I have ever had. Pair that with spicy kimchi, sliced veggies, and a sweet sauce, all wrapped in a super soft role, yes people, yes. The most popular sandwich is the Mike's Famous Duck Club. Hawaiin sweet bread is toasted and topped with duck confit, applewood smoked bacon, hickory smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and red onion, and garlic aioli. Need I say more??? There's a reason people around Charleston rave about this sandwich. It's damn good. By now your stomach gremlin should be thoroughly satisfied. Per our servers recommendation, we decided to wash down the meal with a Raspberry Creamsicle Blender from Hopfly Brewing Company out of Charlotte, NC. Absolutely delicious and the perfect drink after a long day and a great meal.“

“Talk about a great time with amazing eats and even better hospitality. The gang at Bedford Falls are just stellar! Bar tender Roscoe is a top notch lad and the owner Brendan made us feel right at home. Can’t say enough about the food…just perfection. Try the Fried Chicken Sandwich! Hands down a place to visit if you are in town.“

“What can I say? My friends and I love this place. We are here more often than we are anywhere else. The owner-employee's friendliness and the feel of the space are welcoming. It's a bar but with many 'homemade' reasons to visit. Let me start with the freshly squeezed citrus. Sorry, but my powers of observation are keen, and I do not see many other places doing what The Southern does. They squeeze both fresh grapefruit and fresh oranges continuously -- as in, it never stops. They take pride in serving their signature cocktail, A Freshy, made with vodka, fresh grapefruit, and a splash of cranberry. It's $7 during happy hour, and the grapefruit juice alone is worth that price. I seem to always gravitate to the carbs when I visit. Homemade potato skins and homemade, hand-battered GIANT onion rings. The skins start as baked potatoes that are lightly scooped and filled with plenty of cheese and bacon. I make a point of saying 'very lightly scooped' because these skins are meaty! There is quite a lot of potato left here before they add the cheese, so it's a meal I can barely finish -- four to a serving with green onions and heaps of sour cream for $10. The onion rings are finished with the tiniest bit of sea salt right when they come out of the fryer. They may just be the best original recipe onion rings I have tasted, and you get quite a pile for $8. The service is great, and there are always bartenders hustling drinks and hustling food to all the tables. They are the hardest group of owner-employees out there, and the way they care about what goes out to customers shows. Again, this is a bar. But it is also a gathering place for locals. I've never walked in and not known somebody already enjoying themselves. If you know, you know ;-)“

“I love Art's - it may easily be one of the best burgers in South Carolina (just a plain cheeseburger, yes!), and the rest of the food should be tested very soon. Art's apparently serves mean chicken wings (happy hour on Wednesdays!). Service is great, atmosphere classic ...“

“Our group was extremely satisfied with the excellent service and delicious food at this establishment. The town was bustling with excitement for the bridge run, and we decided to stop here for a meal afterwards. Despite being a large group, we were pleasantly surprised to only wait for less than five minutes. The hostess was truly impressive in her ability to navigate through the busy crowds and accommodate our group. Our overall experience was fantastic, with quick service and a pleasant wait.“

“Not a bar for everyone but we enjoyed ourselves. We ate jalapeños poppers that were excellent. Surprisingly fresh. The fried mushrooms were as equally good and both came with very tasty dipping sauces. A couple of drinks each and we were both content.“

“First time in Charleston, came for the tennis tournament and stayed downtown. Recommended we go down a block to the Dispensary for some great food and drinks. There was live music, singer/ guitar. Not too crowded, had open booths across from bar. Menu on the QR code. Ordered 'Berry Me Alive' cocktail that was amazing! Ordered two Appetizers that were very good- Ham Cheese sliders, mozzarella sticks, and Pretzel dip - all were perfect! Not too much or filling to take away from our entrees. Entrees- buffalo chicken wrap, full Caesar salad with grilled chicken and Cuban sandwich with side of truffle fries . Normally would not expect bar food to be so great but these were delightfully delicious!! Everything! Ambiance- local college + bar . The live music/ bands are great! Put in a request for Tennessee Whiskey and the lead singer didn't disappoint... plus they played all , country, pop, reggae, rock, 80's, 90's ... very talented . Came in around 8, left around 11. Surprised to see 3 security guards/bouncers on a Thursday night. Later on we learned from the concierge that things pick up after 10 / bar hopping/etc. This didn't alter our experience whatsoever as everything about this place was amazing! Definitely will return and recommend as a place to add on your visit!“
“The place is in a private resort area. They definitely had resort prices. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. They have the huge Adirondack chair for photo opportunities. There was a fire pit. A couple of outdoor bars on the sandy beach style are. This seems to be a fun environment. There is a parking fee to get out, though. So plan to stay long enough to make it worth the parking fee.“

“Great view of the Shem Creek and good food and service. BUT, when you order a $28 Flounder and Scallops fried platter I would think you get it on a plate, rather than the flimsy plastic basket you get when you order a burger and fries in a less expensive restaurant. Definitely not the best.“

“First things first.. ice water tasted very clean, they bring out waters as soon as you're seated. Lady who waited on us was very nice and helpful. Our food was pretty good. My mom got the veggie burger, she said it was one of the best she had ever had. Everyone else really liked their food too. Sweet tea was super good.“
