Great flavor. It was worth the wait
Many restaurants receive reviews far and near depending on a multitude of aspects that must be coincide to ensure an experience was given to the greatest professionalism and decorum. Nigel's Good Food Bowen offers a delightful dining experience, with phenomenal pickled okra and mouthwatering chicken and waffles with gumbo. The restaurant serves Southern cooking at its finest, with delicious dishes reminiscent of homemade goodness. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with super clean facilities.
The restaurant is a Black-owned treasure that serves up bold Lowcountry flavors with heart. The Geechie Wings are a must-try, with their crispy, juicy texture and sweet heat that embodies Southern tradition. Beyond the amazing food, the customer service is top-tier, with friendly and attentive staff who embody true Southern hospitality, making every visit feel like coming home.
The menu features a variety of new dishes and specials, including the popular fried pork chops, collard greens, and a small salad. The meal is a "meat and three," and the pork chops and collards are excellent. While the blue cheese dressing for the salad was a bit sweet, the overall dining experience is one of flavor, culture, and comfort, with service at its finest.
