They now have an excellent gluten-free wrap used with any type of sandwich. Outstanding. Playing golf is not required to eat at this great little gem tucked away at the Palmetto Dunes Robert Trent Jones Ocean Course. I have only eaten a few items so far and will take some time to complete all of the foods listed on the menu that I am able to eat due to celiac. The staff is well versed in the gluten-free selections and is double-checked by Chef Patrick and his staff. The few items I have ordered, the pulled pork is nice and tender with just the right amount of spices without becoming overbearing and still taste the pork flavor. The smoked chicken is excellent. As much as I enjoy pulled pork, I believe the smoked chicken edges out the pork. They also have gluten-free buns, which increases the available options for dining. All barbeque items are excellent and nothing similar to what you may find in Long Island, NY, the birthplace of Chef Patrick, and that is a great thing. Similar to a restaurant located north of Atlanta with an OUT OF BUSINESS sign on the door. The name, New York City Style Ribs. I have never heard of these famous ribs and when I have an opportunity, I think I shall pass.
They serve one of the top two, in my opinion, gluten-free pizza crusts, recipe created by Chef Patrick in the country. Select the toppings, kick back with a cocktail, the pizza will arrive within 10 minites, and it is excellent. Tip; always order gluten-free pizza well done. I am happy to conduct a taste test to determine the best gluten-free pizza, but the other two vying for the number 1 position are located in Palm Springs, CA and Morris Plains, NJ. Will require a travel budget in order to complete the tasting.
There are several beers on tap, more in cans or bottles along with the flavored vodka drinks. With the extensive menu there is no doubt that you will find something to enjoy. Eat good food, drink a few beers while overlooking a portion of the golf course. Outdoor seating is available as well. You will enjoy and if you are unable to decide on what to order, the Staff members are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and will assist. The entrance to the restaurant is the same as the Proshop.

Great, casual spot at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course Clubhouse. Good burgers, salads, etc.. There is a nice bar to have a drink. Tanisha provided friendly, efficient service. I highly recommend.

19th hole for the golf course. Staff very chatty with regulars and other staff, not so much any one else. Didn't eat here, saw meals going out to others and they didn't look great.

Went out with my mom to celebrate. Our waiters were from the Middle East. They treated us like second class citizens. When I got my meal the paper lining was degraded into the food. When we told the waiter he said it was fine and that i could still eat it. We felt like he told me to eat paper..
When i called a few days later the manager told me that they would call me back. I never got a call back. See the picture of the 3 pieces of paper I took out of my food.

This place is super nice! When you go to a golf course restaurant you usually expect a mediocre bar, hamburgers, and hotdogs. But this place had amazing food and the service was great!

I had the pleasure of dining at Big Jim’s near the Trent Jones Golf Center in Hilton Head, and I have to say—Ivana made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and a welcoming attitude that instantly made us feel at home.
Ivana was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. She knew the menu well and offered great recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. She kept our drinks full, made sure everything came out perfectly, and checked in just the right amount to make sure we were happy throughout our meal.

We have been to Big Jim’s two days in a row now! Last night, Lincoln served us dinner in the dining room. He was attentive, kind and helped us navigate through choosing sides. Tonight we waiting at the bar with Rachel! She was amazing! She was hilarious to talk to and provided great service and company while we waited!! Will we go back for a night 3? It seems in the cards! Haha!
