Cactus Street Cantina is a cozy and friendly restaurant in the Main Street area on Hilton Head Island. The food is fantastic, fresh, tasty, authentic, and delicious, with high quality ingredients. Many consider it the best Mexican food culinary experience on Hilton Head. The chimichanga, especially with carne asada, is called the best ever, described as ginormous and a masterpiece. Other notable dishes include the chicken quesadilla with cheese, onion, and peppers, and a tasty taco. The soft-orange rice is also highlighted for being very cheesy. Starters like the Three Amigos chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso are highly recommended.
The drinks are excellent, featuring a simply delicious house margarita that is sweet and tangy, and the best prickly pear margarita. The service is A++, excellent, super friendly, and attentive, with great staff and a friendly owner. The atmosphere is very appealing, clean, neat, organized, and cozy, though the place is a little small. It is a hidden gem and a must-try, perfect for a pit stop while visiting. Guests consistently report great experiences and highly recommend it, planning to return many times to try more of the menu.
