“This is absolutely the go to catering business in the Low Country. We had a large party of over 40 people at our house for a party and Specialty Catering (aka Bluffton Catering dot com) supplied the food. They did not skip on the dishes. We had a large platter of meat lasagna, 2 platters of vegetarian stuffed shells (spinach and cheese), and a side salad. It was fantastic. With over 40 people attending we still had a ton of food left over, which we promptly froze for future meals. Traci Armstrong, the proprietor, is most pleasant and professional. Trays came with heaters to keep the food hot. We opted out of a few of the offerings of what she usually supplies and supplied our own garlic bread, extra red sauce, utensils and drinks. If any one of any size business needs profession catering, you must try Specialty Catering.“
“I don't typically take the time to write reviews but if anyone deserves a raving review it's The Sugaree. I moved to Bluffton about two years ago and was in search of a coffee & pastry location to frequent and stumbled upon The Sugaree. The coffee is phenomenal, the food is always delicious, and Jo and Todd are always attentive, kind, and simply good at what they do.I look for places that feel like home and I've found that in The Sugaree. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for something amazing in little ol' Bluffton.Note to the tourists who should definitely stop in here, be patient and be kind it's a big operation ran by two great people who deserve that grace.“
“Olivia McManus and the entire team at Downtown Catering Company in Bluffton are absolutely incredible. My husband and I live New York and had our dream wedding in Savannah because of Olivia and Downtown catering. I had very specific and custom requirements and Olivia went above and beyond to meet them. Everything from champagne service when guests got to the venue, unique appetizers at cocktail hour (we fused Maryland and Georgia roots - and had fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, shrimp and grits, etc), to a dual entree to pies to late night food (mini boxes of Chinese take out!! The lo mein and spring rolls were excellent, even the guests Fanzo flew from China were impressed) they did the impossible and fused classic, delicious low county southern food and added an Asian twist to the end of the night. My 160 guests from all over the country and world could not stop raving about how delicious the food was. The food and service has been the top piece of feedback I have gotten from our wedding. Also, anybody with allergies was completely taken care of. Their food modified and equally enjoyable.To keep 160 meals - filet mignon, scallops, etc cooked to perfection, warm was to me an incredible feat but something that Downtown Catering does every single time for every single event. Olivia had countless calls with me to work our details and was always kind, understanding and patient. She also anticipated any needs and through my disparate thoughts and asks, came up with something better than I could have even imagined. We had specialty his and her drinks, which were so delicious and on point, something we added at the last minute and the bar service, food staff, everything the day of was beyond what I could have asked for. Olivia and team truly made my wedding one of a kind, made me feel so taken care of and understood along the way which resulted in a deliciously magnificent day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Look no further if you are looking for any event with catering services, it does not get any better than this.Vegetarian options: Olivia and team provided many vegetarian options for our guests who were vegetarian - I am 1000% if I wanted an entire menu of vegetarian options for my wedding, it would be beautifully doneDietary restrictions: Any dietary restriction, shellfish allergy, tree nut, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, banana allergy, kosher, star fruit allergy, just to list a few were all taken care of without sacrificing quality of anything - amazing accommodations and options for any kind of dietary restriction.“
“Roy and his staff went above and beyond to create an amazing private rehearsal dinner for us! The portions were large, the taste was out of this world and the chef was AMAZING! From the first phone call Roy was pleasant, kind and accommodating to all of our desires! He was always available and so helpful with us being so many states away. No one left hungry and people are still talking about how delicious the food was weeks later!!! We can't thank you enough for making our special evening even that more special and delicious!!! A must for any event you have - can't wait to use Roy and his company again when we visit South Carolina!!!! Xo“
