Most of their dishes can be made vegan when they’re made without fish & oyster sauce. Their spring rolls, panang curry and pad thai were good. But the Tom Kha soup and drunken noodles stole the show.

The very best Thai Basil Chicken I ever had anywhere. If your on Hilton Head and want Thai food don’t go anywhere else Thai Hut is awesome.

This is huge surprise and a gem of restaurant! We visited last night as our jaws dropped when the food arrived with the presentation and taste of food. I am ready to drive from Charlotte for this food again, that’s 4 hours!

Very pretty, very expensive and extremely bland food. Some of the most flavorless Thai food I have ever eaten. Tom Yum broth had no lemongrass flavor and weak chicken flavor. Pad Thai was flavorless and a tiny portion ($28). Drunken noodles tasted like they were out of a box (the noodles). It was also flavorless (and $28 for a tiny portion. Not sure who’s cooking there but I bet they’re not from Thailand.

We travel to HHI a lot and this place is a favorite. It is our favorite Thai place, period. We go in a big group with extended family and we go early. They are very accommodating to us and we always get excellent food and service.

I like the pad see ew and Massaman curry (pictured below)
Many of my family orders the salmon
The kids like pad Thai, and Thai fried rice it comes with a good amount of veggies.

There is a nice outdoor seating area. They serve beer in frosty mugs. Easily a five star experience.

We stopped by on our bikes but they weren't open. A woman, who turned out to be the owner, was outside watering plants and told us they opened at 4:30, so we returned later and were so glad that we did. Few places for vegan food on HHI but we found options on the menu. Peanut sauce on vegetables with rice noodles for me, a curry for my husband. Gorgeous presentations, huge portions and the food was fantastic. We also had the sticky mango rice dessert and it was amazing!

This place had such a great rating, we had to try it for dinner. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, the Fried Rice, the Puffs of Gold, and the Sweet Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. We ordered as take out and ate at home. The positive take aways, are that the portions are large, and the Puffs of Gold were good. The rest of the food was very bland, with very little flavor. The service was adequate, as we ordered take out. Most annoying of all, was that everything cost more than shown in pictures and even their own menus. The side of plain fried rice was listed as $6, and I was told it was $12. The full portion was about $18. I ended up paying $80 for the items listed at the top, which was more than expected. If you're going to charge over $20 for Chicken Pad Thai, it better be amazing. I double checked their website, and it looked updated, so don't trust other pictures. I would avoid both of their locations and try something else. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I'm not going to sugar coat anything. Good luck!

Parking: Parking is off to the side. Had no problem. Handicap parking available.

Kid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly. Seating was cramped.

Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair could NOT fit through either door in my opinion. I didn't measure, but it felt tight to me, and I'm not handicapped. There was a single door for entry, and a separate single door for exit. No stairs though.

Nice relaxing meal, great flavors, excellent service and not too long for the meals to be served good and hot. The three flavor grouper was very delicious and the fish cooked perfectly, not greasy but moist flesh and crispy batter.
