Pulled up to the bar, was offered a food menu but no drink menu. Bartender eventually rectified, and I ordered a can of beer. They have a beer flight on the menu, but not many beers on tap at all. Cocktails seem the way to go here.Ordered a brisket sandwich. Brisket was very nicely cooked and fell apart where it should have. The sandwich wasn’t bad. But my fries came out cold! How could they be cold!?! I’m eating right at the bar!! Answer is, they were old.Live music is a nice touch. But the construction mars the view and atmosphere isn't made by a string of fairy light alone. The Porch has potential. But I will eat elsewhere today.

The pool was under construction (which we were aware of before eating here), but the food was still great and the servers were very friendly. Would recommend the fried pickles and FGT BLT sandwich.

alright so, I usually never leave bad reviews nor be disappointed when i eat out, if something isn’t great i usually don’t care and will finish my meal anyways.but goodness this place marked history for my laid back attitude. the food was genuinely gross. i ordered fish and chips and a brisket tator tot appetizer.i will say presentation is nice with generous portions, but the food was just so nasty. the best was the tots and fries that came with my meal, at best. but it tasted as if it was tripled fried. not too mention the food took forever, and the place was practically empty.the worst was the meat, brisket and fish by no means should taste similar, well at this place it tasted the same because both practically had no flavor, the brisket was very dry and chewy, and the cod was heavily fried. i tried to make it work by squeezing lemon on the fish and dipping it in my tartar sauce. i could only taste the lemon and tartar.my friend that i had dinner with also mentioned her meal being tasteless and cooked poorly.when we wanted to leave we had to wait awhile to catch our waitress’s attention, who was missing most of the night, which again the restaurant was practically empty. once we asked for the check we had to wait about 20 minutes to receive it.we took our appetizer to go because we thought we might pick at it in the morning.well after a miserable night from becoming incredibly nauseous from our meal, we opened up the fridge to an absolutely rancid smell, almost like the food became rotten over night, we ended up tossing it.it’s a huge shame to have had that experience because of how many good reviews this place has received. perhaps visiting during off season and while the hotel was under construction contributed to such a poor experience, but it still should’ve lived up to the good reviews.I wanted to put two stars but decided to put three because it was very clean, and our waitress was friendly.

We made reservations for Christmas dinner. We pulled in and we almost turned around and left. The construction was overwhelming and the place was a ghost town. I am so glad we didn’t. We paid $46 per person and had a wonderfully prepared beef Wellington and sides. Surprisingly everything was prepared perfectly. I was not expecting this from a hotel restaurant. The perfect ending wad the Yule log and homemade cookies for dessert. We got more than we paid for the and quality was pretty damn good.

We came for lunch and the place was deserted. There were construction vehicles right outside the window and the server was super grumpy. The ceviche was mediocre at best. The best item was a Miami Vice frozen

The hotel is going through a renovation with the removal of the pool (view of the beach) which we were not informed about which disappointed since there is no beach view and access is on the end behind a wedding tent. But dinner at the restaurant way surpassed our disappointment with the $$ entrees. The lukewarm $34 grouper was fishy with the sauce dried into place. The pasta was over cooked and in one globule that could be lifted off the plate in one hunk. The beets were flavorless. My husbands ribs were large enough to feed a family like something off of a Fred Flintstone order but were too tough to eat. Worst meal we’ve had in years. We’ve been coming here for years for my husband’s birthday. So disappointed. Breakfast was good. We are hesitant to try lunch.Parking: We are staying at the hotel and have found parking here to be difficult at the end of the day.

Been trying to get in touch with these people about booking this Thanksgiving event they advertise online to be met with no calls or emails back. After reading the other reviews on here guess I dodged a bullet.

The food isn't worth it at all for the price they charge. It didn't taste good at all. The drinks were good

Friendly staff but easily the worst brisket sandwich I've ever had, the brisket was oddly burnt to hell and so tough I couldn't even eat it and I'm not a super picky eater. Nice spot by the beach though!

Walked over to The Porch for a fantastic breakfast just off the beach. Right after watching a fabulous sunrise on the beach.

$15+ for soda. Meant to buy Majuro but it doesn’t even smell like one. Soda+lime+ice+tax+tip =$20 thrown away.

We stayed here 4 nights and got something from the restaurant/bar at least 1x/day. Our experience was top-notch every time, from smiling, attentive service, to quality food + drinks, to great atmosphere that often included live music (at just the right volume, not an easy feat). Def recommend whether or not you stay here.
