“The risotto was over flavored with Tarrogon (no warning in menu) and had large hard peppercorns in it. The Faroese island salmon had a lovely crispy skin but a lot of dark fatty and strong flesh under it. The bread is amazing, maple apple salad and the fish soup special with saffron tomato broth were excellent. The short rib and gnocchi was very good but too much food. Our waiter was exceptionally efficient.“

“We've driven by Burtons a thousand times and never stopped. Then we actually moved to Mt. Pleasant and live close to the restaurant. “I went there today for the 1st time! The customer service was great! The place was clean & cozy! I tried the avocado toast for the 1st time ever & I loved it. Can't wait to get it again! My smoothie was great to! They were even nice enough to allow me to sit there & do homework while I waited for my dog to get done at PetSmart! And I was there for a while!!!! That's how friendly they are!! I hope that start that secret coffee that I suggested! Call it The "Tomeika Kick!" 😂LBVVVS! Can't wait to go back! Thing I found my new get away spot!! “Casual place for drinks and food. Menu offers lots of choices plus they usually have a couple of daily specials. Food is always good and plentiful. You have to try their house-made potato ships! Servers are all very attentive. It is a family-friendly atmosphere. You can usually customize your order with no problem. Been going there many, many years and never had a bad experience.“

“Stopped here yesterday for the first time. I don’t live in Charleston but only came for the symphony. It was my daughter’s birthday and we wanted to treat her to something special. We ordered a few desserts and French pressed coffee. I love a strong, bold coffee and theirs did not disappoint! Wonderful! I forgot to ask her name but the woman who waited on us was so sweet and attentive. The cake we ordered was HUGE! We knew it was tall but the slice size was so generous. Even after stuffing ourselves we took home so much. Thank you Gala for helping make her 15th birthday one to remember! We will be back every time we come to town.“
