Love this place. Not a lot of options on IOP. We have been several times. We had the oysters and it was $56 for 12!!! Flounder is great.

We had a beautiful evening to sit outside and enjoy fresh local shrimp and flounder. From the moment we approached the hostess stand, we were treated like family. Our server, Lynn, was friendly and thoughtful and went above and beyond to serve us. We often eat at Long Island Cafe, and it's always a pleasant experience, but we've seen some great changes lately that are making the experience better. If you haven't been there recently, you'll have to go back for the local shrimp! Definitely order the hushpuppies, and don't forget dessert!

We have been customers of Long Island Cafe since it opened many years ago. We have always found their food delicious and all the staff members friendly...until this past weekend. We made our usual reservation for the dining room and not the bar. A waitress tried to seat us in the bar. We asked not to eat in the bar. As we were being seated in the main room, the manager rudely told us that seating location is not guaranteed. Service and food were outstanding as usual. The only thing leaving a bad taste in our mouths was the unwelcoming words from the manager.

Hostess was allowing walk ins to be seated before customers with reservations if they “could be done” by a certain time. Manager and hostess were thrown a loop simply be having a Door Dash order. I had to wipe my own table down to avoid sticking my elbow in some unknown gunk left by the previous patron. Flies landed in our hair. We waited forty-five minutes to be sat and then waited over an hour for our food. Waiter forgot my daughter's she crab soup and my salad, but the worst part was that, when reminded, he was dismissive. Our drinks sat empty for over thirty minutes.

I've been to LI Cafe many times that were wonderful. This time, no so much. Specials not on regular menu were obscenely over priced and we were not on informed before ordering. Also the service was very slow.
