Local spot in strip mall next to Harris Teeter. Tables are uncomfortably tight for eating and hard for having a conversation with your guests. Service was average. Food was below average. Not going into details of why because it's not worth writing about. We did have the filet mignon, she crab soup, grouper bites (actually the only decent thing we had) sautéed veggies, flounder, shrimp and grits. Peanut butter ice cream pie and crème brûlée. Price was absolutely too high for what we were served. Also an FYI, they charge a 3% fee for using a credit card. Many small business do this now, not complaining, just be aware. Seems the locals are the ones that enjoy it, and usually those are the places we like to visit as well but we will not be giving this place a second chance.

Service and food were very good though prices seemed high relative to competitors who advertise only locally caught seafood and fish. Noise level very high and a barrier to conversation even across a small table for 2. Tables are very close together to maximize seating so that adjacent guests were less than 3 feet away on each side at our table for 2.

Consistently excellent. We will be back each time we are on or near IOP. Or twice per visit.

Service was impressive and very friendly. Food was very good but sides weren't too hot. Will definitely return!

We were celebrating a friends birthday for this visit and we were truly blown away by the service, food, & vibes. Our server Jackie ( I hope I am right) went above & beyond to make us feel so special. We love this restaurant and will be back!

The hush puppy appetizer was delicious. The food was good and the waiter helpful and gracious. They were out of a couple of items that I had hoped to order but overall it was a lovely evening.

We have Never had a bad meal here - they do a great job offering different daily specials and their menu offers something for everyone. This visit we were celebrating a birthday and every dish was delicious - as per the usual. And Jackie was beyond awesome! She was on point - in every single detail. We were not only her last table, but the last table of the night, and they did not rush us one single minute. Love, Love, Love Long Island Cafe! Thank you for a wonderful evening y'all!

Service not as good as before new ownership. Atmosphere not as good. Miss the previous bartender and servers.

Our service is always great as we've had the same server for a couple of years. The oysters were nice and briny! Everyone's food was plated nicely and served hot from the kitchen. The bartender can also make a great martini! This is one of the few places a 6 top can reserve. Always a favorite!
