Peking Gourmet on Maybank Highway on John's Island is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Everything here is very delicious and flavorful. The location is convenient and easy to access when you are hungry. The service here makes everything easy and is very friendly. I enjoy coming here.
This is the place to order Chinese food from on John's Island. It is not only the best on the island, I'd venture to say that it is the best take-out Chinese food I've had in Charleston.

Very convenient, placed an order and went next door, meals were ready in 10 minutes. Very good and tasty. Had steak with peppers, onions and a large shrimp fried rice. They are generous with the shrimp, maybe because that's the only thing that is in the rice. Shrimp and rice, no veggies or egg. Next time I will request the aforementioned additions since I will be dining with them again.
