“My kids will never again be able to vacation at a resort with a “regular” pool! This complex is amazing with everything you need for a fun vacation. Besides the pools with kid-friendly water features and slides, the park also has a playground, market and cafe, poolside restaurant with great food and drinks, and fitness center. There are plenty of complimentary towels, lounge chairs, and shaded tables for having a meal. There are family activities throughout the week, and the highlight is the festival every summer Wednesday evening with games, entertainment and $3 ice cream!”

“Each time I come down to stay at our family’s home in Kiawah, we always end up walking down the beach to The Sanctuary’s Bar to end our evening. This year the staff was A++++. I have to give a special shoutout to Nel, Britney & Mr. Wesley for going above & beyond the entire week, each night we visited. From seeing some of us waiting in line & before we even got to the front of the line, knowing & having our drinks ready or to helping my grandmother onto our golf cart as she is handicap. They made our family have the most fun we have had in years down here in Kiawah. We look forward to being back over Easter. Thanks for everyone who took care of us throughout the week!”

“I grew up in a small town north of Boston. Each weekend the kids went to The Marblehead Sub Shop where the bread was freshly baked, the meat, cheese and veggies were sliced (not chopped) and the Sub was loaded and topped with oil and vinegar.
Thanks to the great friendly crew at Freshfields Village for letting me live my childhood again. You're the Best.”

“The ice cream is really good. The chocolate was rich and buttery. I don’t understand the lower reviews due to pricing. Being at a 5 star resort, right on the beach, what do you expect? I guess people always have something to complain about.”

“This was our first visit to Cantina 76 on Kiawah Island and we really enjoyed the bartender, the atmosphere & the delicious, well presented cuisine! Highly recommend that you eat here if you’re visiting Kiawah Island. Kudos ⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I am giving a combined 4 stars because while this place was good, it is definitely overpriced. I paid $25 for 2 coffees and that just seems outrageous to me. I love coffee and I've tried a lot of different places, none as costly as this. The coffee was also just fine, it wasn't anything special.

The area is very nice though! There's a nature center nearby that had a baby gator, opossum, and much more. While I recommend, just don't plan on finding anything reasonably priced.”

“We recently visited Charleston and forgot to make dinner reservations, that’s when we happed on to The Royal Tern. Despite no reservations, they gladly seated us at a great table. The food was exquisite, everything from the Raw Bar, the fried shrimp, to the halibut. The halibut was prepared perfectly and was so unique; the ingredients worked together in delicious synergy. My cocktail was on-point, too. As a home cook, being able to watch the chefs prepare the meals was fascinating. Mad respect for their craft. Met one of the owners as he was making his rounds in the dining room, and he was a lovely person. He even printed a map w/shortcuts for us since traffic is so bad in the Charleston area. Highly recommend, will definitely be back next time we’re in town.”

“Best vibes on Folly. My wife and I come here all the time for a pick me up. The drinks are some of our favorite in Charleston. I always get a pluff mudslide and man-eater bc I can’t decide between the two. My wife loves their skinny spicy margaritas. I don’t know why nobody talks about their burgers because they’re our favorite smash burger in town. If it’s your first visit, try to get a seat at the bar! The Thai chile Brussels sprout app has converted me. Never thought that would be my jam but we’re obsessed. Overall you won’t be disappointed in the service, atmosphere or food!”

“Absolutely love this new cafe!!. It is in such a great location on the way to Kiawah Island. To Go options, smoothies, brunch options, coffee, alcohol, picnic options, indoor sit down dining, and outdoor air down dining options. Atmosphere is super fresh, clean, everyone is so friendly and kind. We were a bit nervous stopping at a new place but absolutely fell in love. We also have two little boys and we did not feel uncomfortable or a nuisance. We often times run into that feeling when eating but that was not the case. They also had a refrigerator full of all local business products from local alcohol to local bagels to local ice cream. We will be definitely stopping by next time we go to Kiawah and also we will be bringing all of our local friends. Such a nice warm welcome change when it comes to places to eat in the Kiawah area.”
