Party of 8 golfers. Food was generally considered mediocre. At least 2 were sick overnight. Ribs were overcooked and black. Brisket extremely fatty. Service decent. Nice room. Maybe they just had a bad night but it was an expensive bad night for us.
This place was enjoyable. We were recommended this place by our hotel, The Sanctuary. We came here mainly to see the gators and try the famous mac n cheese. Both of those did not disappoint. Food was average and service was definitely lacking.
Ugh, I'm reading the other reviews and had to double-check they were talking about the same place. Our dinner experience here was one of the only disappointments during our recent stay at the Kiawah Island Resort. While the golf course here provides a lovely backdrop for dining porchside at sunset (tiny little alligators lurking on the greens was a fun touch), the meal and service were terribly subpar. Our waiter was distracted, inattentive, and did not give us good advice...
