“We were visiting Charleston, and our family has a number of food allergies - milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, plus I'm gluten-free. We are accustomed to limited options, being disappointed, and risking allergic reactions when eating out. So, we were unexpectedly blown away by how delicious the food was. There were so many options that we could enjoy. The crispy brussel sprouts and arroz con pollo was milk, nut and gluten free. My kiddos with milk, egg, and nut allergies loved their quesadillas, tacos, and sweet potato fries. The food was fresh with quality ingredients, bursting with flavor AND no one got sick after eating there. Win! Win! Win!It was so nice not to have to sacrifice flavor for safe food. I look forward to eating here again the next time we visit Charleston!“
“This place surprised me. Did not expect a place that served American bar food to have good sushi. BUT I was pleasantly surprised. Enough to come back and get 5rolls for a date. I can’t remember exactly what I got but I do know both the fried and raw sushi was very good.“
“As a native Texan I grew up on authentic Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine. El Rincon brings me back to my Texas roots with a menu of fresh, homemade Mexican dishes that put the local chain Mexican joint to shame. Let's start with the homemade chips and fresh salsa - not jar salsa too often served by other Mexican restaurants. The salsa had a great medium heat and was perfect with the still warm chips. The menu, while simple, is well executed across the board. We all ordered different dishes and each was excellently prepared. Delicious chicken mole, tacos, and carne asada quesadilla prepared with homemade tortillas (there's nothing better) flavorful beef chunks and gooey melted cheese. We finished with crisp, cinnamon covered churros. The restaurant recently acquired their liquor license so we were able to enjoy our meals with cold Modelos and tequila sodas - a huge plus for most Mexican diners. The owner, Idalis, is delightful and deserves the island's support. We desperately need another locally owned, authentic, ethnic restaurant and they've shown me that they deserve our patronage. Although we own a restaurant just a mile away, we'll be having dinner with Idalis and her lovely staff every Tuesday night when we're closed and invite y'all to join us and help El Rincon thrive.“
“We went to Cantina 76 tonight with another couple and it was extremely crowded. We were told that we could sit at the bar so we did.Vincent was the bartender and our waiter. He was awesome! We all ordered from the menu but had changes in each of our orders and Vincent didn't blink an eye. He placed our order without any errors and everything came out perfectly. Vincent is also fun to watch as he never stops when fixing the drinks. Quite a talent!!Vegetarian options: I am vegan but they made accommodations so I could order from the menu“
