“My sister and I stopped in for lunch. We had a short wait to get a table, but there were a few places to sit while you wait. Our waitress was really nice. She gave excellent service. Our food was prepared nicely and was very good. We both enjoyed a Mimosa. Although I think there could gave been a little more alcohol in it, it still tasted good. We will definitely go again and try some of the other delicious looking items on their menu.“

“My wife and I went here for a little date. At first when you’re driving up it feels like there’s not much around you. When you get to the property the building for wine tastings is behind the main house. When we walked in we were pleasantly greeted by a really nice updated wine tasting room. Very nice decor and plenty of room and space if others are there too. The owner, Shannon, was there and greeted us and welcomed us in, even though we were there 20 minutes early. He was super nice and we had a great conversation with him. He had a lot of fun jokes that tied into his wine making.

The wines were excellent. We had tastings of 18 different wines. Unlike some wineries in South Carolina, not all of his wines are sweet, which was great. We got a large variety of tastings all different kinds of wine. His Cabernet and Apple pie wines were my favorites.

Be sure to make an appointment. It’s just him there and when he doesn’t have appointments he’s either filling bottles or out in the field. Also, don’t let the drive in discourage you. He’s not a huge fancy winery, but his business and land is very well kept and very nice. We really love that he does this for the fun, the artistry, and he enjoys just making the different wines. We learned a lot from our conversations with him, as he is very knowledgeable.

“This place was amazing 10/30/2025. My name is Angela. The waiter, food, service and scenery was amazing! The chalupa; A1!!! I’m serious the burst of flavor in it! I never gave their beans a chance before. I usually get the shrimp tacos but that chalupa, WITH BEANS, had me astounded. I felt like I was at top cuisine! “I’ve been here on several occasions with friends and family and it’s among my top places to eat. It looks like they’ve redesigned since my last visit and it looks great. In particular, I want to thank the staff for their efforts hosting our office Christmas party. Our original location shut down due to water damage a few weeks before our event but the restaurant was able to accommodate our 30 person party, including many little ones, with no issues at all. They even provided us with a beautiful private space allowing us more freedom to move and interact with each other. Excellent work from booking to execution. A big thanks to our main server who put up with us too! Consider Old Mill for your off campus office gathering or other event!

Vegetarian options: The menu had a few options for vegetarians including salads and spinach dip for an appetizer.

It was four cut up pieces and looked like it was deep fried and for to long..did not enjoy it at all have gotten it there before and enjoyed it. “Let's start with the prices... everything is extremely well-priced for the portions you receive. We had the vegetable noodle, eel roll, and tuna roll. At first, we were mistakenly given what looked like a California roll, and my husband is allergic to the crabstick used. I went back in and spoke to them, apologizing because they were busy. They had absolutely no problem fixing it, I only had to wait maybe five minutes.

The food is really tasty! It was so much better than we expected (we eat at a lot of places) considering our past experiences with Tokyo Grill. The workers are efficient and nice, helpful whenever you need it.

Service was perfect even though they were busy. They didn't skip a beat, and when we had an issue with the sushi, they didn't mind and corrected it. I can't thank them enough for that, we felt so bad!

The place is no real frills, it isn't fine dining atmosphere, but it is comfortable. It could get crowded if lots of people choose to eat in.

Overall, this has become our favorite place with one visit. The people, the value, the food, it's all great!

Vegetarian options: Rolls of sushi can be customized and there are dishes only containing veggies.

Dietary restrictions: Any customization (within reason) is accommodated.

Parking: This area gets busy and slammed during peak times. It's difficult to find a space at those times, but if you choose an earlier time, it's easier.

Kid-friendliness: Kids would be fine here in the atmosphere, and they do have a decent kids menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for a wheelchair, ramps in the concrete outside.“

“I eat their weekly. Grew up eating Lizards Thicket. Started out at the one that used to be by the airport. I’ve eaten at all of them. They are all good. Love the breakfast. Love the specials. I reside in Richland County and I wasn’t able to return the pizza, so I end up throwing away the pizza and lost $10.00 in the process. “We were regular San Jose customers, and while they are good, they were closed. We decided to try Chapala's again. A couple years back, we had gone and weren't too pleased. We were very glad we gave them another chance. Not sure what has changed, but the food was outstanding! The most tender chicken in the entrees and the guac was extra good! We are now regular customers. So, if you haven't been in a while, do yourself a favor and revisit!!“
