“Being our first time here, the service was very good. They explained the menu and told us their specials. We got the double BBQ platter. The ribs were very dry and and rub was salty. We would not recommend getting those. The pulled pork was good though a little dry. The sides were the best part. We had the cole slaw and onion rings. They were outstanding. They had several choices in BBQ sauce for you to try. We will be back, but probably just get the pull pork sandwich.“

“Visiting Greenville for one night and needed a place to eat that we could walk from the hotel. After seeing reviews and asking about SBH BBQ, we went for dinner and were not disappointed. The Sweaty Pig sandwich was delicious and very filling. The chicken nachos had tons of toppings and were very flavorful. We also tried the briscuit/Mac n cheese egg roll and the sweet potato crunch. Again, delicious. April, our server, and Brock, the manager, were friendly and fun to talk to. From the time we walked in the door, we felt very welcome. “I’ve been looking for a decent barbecue spot for a while, and overall I was pleased with this one. Not the best barbecue I’ve had, but definitely not the worst.

I ordered the half rack of dry-rubbed ribs with fries and mac and cheese. The ribs were cooked phenomenally. My only complaint is that I wish the dry rub had a little more flavor, though their sauces definitely helped make up for it. The mac and cheese was okay, and the fries were a little oily and unsalted, but since this was a to-go order, that was an easy fix at home.

One minor frustration was receiving a text that our order was ready when it actually wasn’t, resulting in a wait. A little annoying, but not a major inconvenience.

The service is exceptional (compliments to Ma and Natalia) and we feel like family every time we eat there. The kimchi is delicious and you can order a jar to go if you are so inclined.“

“A fantastic local joint. We were visiting the area from the low country and went in bc we wanted something local. Amazing food, decent price, fun atmosphere. The fish and chips was amazing! Fried pickles and deep fried cheese curds were both great appetizers. The teenage boys seemed to enjoy their wings and my brother said the popcorn shrimp was great too. Highly recommend!!! I didn't take any pictures of the food because as soon as it got to the table, we devoured it!“

“DOES *NOT* RECOMMEND I came in on 4/2/24 at 4:30 and paid 42.00 dollars for a family pack and an extra side of meat. We sat down and waited for our order. After about 10 minutes of waiting, an elderly lady probably in her 60's told us we cannot stay and that it was takeout only. She made an assumption that we were even planning on dining in because not once were we asked. She then proceeded to say that they didn't charge us for dine in, so we politely asked if we could pay the extra fee for the plates and dine in costs. She was extremely rude and just kept arguing with us. Even after my wife said, "that's fine we will leave, but can we please get a refund since you're obviously not bringing us our food," she continued to make us feel extremely unwelcome and essentially kicked us out. She just kept saying, "sorry this is strict policy you need to leave." My wife asked for a refund again, and the kid that originally took our order finally gave us the refund.. I don't usually feel discriminated against but she had a personal issue with me and my kids (who were being extremely respectful and just drinking their lemonade the whole time). I will not dine here again. I will not support any business that it partners with. I would highly appreciate hearing back from the owner who we were told was not currently in.“

“My hamburger steak was so seasoned I couldn't eat it, my granddaughter chicken nuggets was so salty she didn't want to eat them either, the ribeye was on the thin side and over cooked asked for medium. Service was on point and it was Father's Day as well and she did phenomenal. We waited for hour for table and there was no wiggle room to be had. Wall to wall people and very loud but we had a good time.“

“I wanted to love this location, but my recent visit was a bit of a letdown. The drive-thru is often backed up and the layout can be confusing for newcomers. I ordered a bacon grilled chicken sandwich around 6 PM. While the bacon, veggies, and bun were all fresh and delicious, the grilled chicken was incredibly disappointing—it was shriveled and looked overcooked. I really hope this was just a one-off! Service was also mixed; the gentleman at the window was fantastic, but the person taking my order could use some customer service training. I'll still give Cook Out another chance, but I hope the food quality improves.“
