Just wish Captain D's battered dip fish was same as 2021 things don't taste the same, its like they using white fish to substitute for the battered dip fish they don't have.
This restaurant was exceptionally clean, the staff was patient. We didn't know what we wanted because it was our first time in the place.
Food was delivered quickly, the grilled whitefish, grilled salmon, fried okra and popcorn shrimp were excellent (on par with sit down restaurants). Rice, potato, broccoli were what you'd expect for fast food, decent, but could be better. The Mac&cheese and fried green tomatoes have a lot of room for improvement. Captain D's in Moncks Corner offers good food and a clean environment. Customers praise the restaurant for its very clean setting and courteous employees. The fast seafood is delicious and served at proper temperature. The fried fish, along with vinegar, is especially popular and considered off the hook delicious. Many customers enjoy both fried and broiler platters, often visiting with family and never having complaints. However, some mention that the drive-thru wait time can be very long, sometimes up to 30 minutes to order and another 20 minutes to get food, with employees outside talking instead of working. There are concerns about service, with some customers feeling that staff should be more eager to work and less lazy or rude. Overall, the restaurant provides hot and fresh meals, but there are mixed opinions about customer service and value, especially regarding meal sizes and price increases.
