LoLA Mt Pleasant Reviews
We were in Mount Pleasant for a birthday weekend and stumbled upon Lola's for its close proximity to where we were staying. The food and service were exceptional. I had the veg risotto which did not disappoint. Our server Ari S. was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was perfect in every way he took care of the four of us. We will definitely return to Lola's again.

LoLA Mt Pleasant is a Creole restaurant that brings the flavors of New Orleans to Mount Pleasant. The menu features a variety of seafood dishes, including the popular shrimp and crawfish po'boy and the must-try duck fries. Guests have enjoyed the fried shrimp, flounder basket, and the standout étouffée with shrimp and crawfish. The restaurant is known for its friendly and attentive service; the staff is welcoming and makes guests feel at home, although there is room for improvement in their knowledge of traditional Creole cuisine.
The dining experience at LoLA is mostly positive, with visitors praising the flavorful dishes like the vegetable jambalaya, seasoned perfectly, and the fried green tomatoes served with a surprising red sauce and pepper jack cheese. The praline pecan cornbread remains a highlight, and the key lime cheesecake is noted for its thick, creamy texture. Many guests appreciate that the restaurant makes dishes to order, ensuring freshness, which is especially helpful for those with special dietary needs like halal or vegetarian preferences. For example, the jambalaya was good, and the po'boy sandwich was enjoyed by many. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even providing crayons and a necklace for children.
The atmosphere can sometimes be crowded and noisy, especially on busy weekend nights, which can make the dining room feel a bit cramped. Suggestions have been made to improve the acoustic experience and table spacing for a more comfortable environment. Overall, LoLA Mt Pleasant remains a favored spot for those craving authentic Creole cuisine in a lively, New Orleans-inspired setting. The food and service are generally excellent, and with some minor adjustments, the overall dining experience could be even better.
