“Walked in and ask if I could sit outside. The hostess asked if I wanted bar or table. I didn’t have a preference but was told she’s only walk me there if I got a table. I’d never been here before and told her that I didn’t know where I’d be going. I settled on a table so I’d actually be shown where to go. Odd but brushed it off. Bartender was taking care of everyone outside it appeared, which it wasn’t a busy time but seemed as if she had a lot going on at once. I ordered the roll I decided on and asked for a suggestion for a second. I went with what the server recommended. Not sure if there was a miscommunication but I was only brought the one roll the server recommended, I didn’t feel like asking where the second roll was. It was good and I’d go back here for sushi. I’ll make sure my full order is understood in the future.“

“I love this place so much. My fat ass would come in here almost daily while during lunch breaks. We're not even suppose to leave school campus at Wando for lunch, but this place is so good I left damn near every day. The owner is super sweet the kindest lady ever. One time, one of them messed up my order and I didn't even care, I would've paid for it, but they gave it to me for free AND remade it for me. They're the best people ever. Anyone who doesn't give them 5 stars is probably just miserable. Thank you for carrying my lunch breaks while I was at Wando. I love you guys my second family. I can't want to come back from the Middle East so I can punish another bowl from them.“

“We stopped here tonight after driving into town to visit. We were immediately seated. We ordered the gyoza, crab cheese wonton, angry dragon roll, pad thai with chicken and the shrimp and steak hibachi. First off the appetizers came out immediately after the soup and salad and then they brought the sushi. Then about 3 minutes later our entrees were brought to our table. We weren't able to even finish one appetizer before we had our entrees. Staggering the dishes works wonders so customers dont feel rushed and have plenty of room. The freshness of the sushi and the flavor was off the charts. Some of the best gyoza and the crab cheese wonton was top 5 quality. We've tried alot. The steak and shrimp was good but the rice lacked flavor and was just bland. The yum yum sauce was a bit too sweet but the downer was the pad thai. It didnt have that sweet taste that the usual pad thai has..maybe it was missing palm sugar or tamarind paste. They did give us dessert on the house which seemed to be for each table which was nice.“

“Originally found after couldn’t find parking on/near King St. What a hidden gem! Counter order. We tried 4 different rolls plus chicken potstickers and edamame. Every bit of it was excellent. Had great interactions with staff/owner. Our every need was taken care of before we needed it, down to our table being cleared for us even though you can tell the setup is for you to be able to clear your own. Appears to be mostly take-out as there are only three tables but if you can eat in, you sho as cooked rolls will come out piping hot for!
Don’t sleep on this place.“

“Wish I could give it 10 stars! I had an amazing dining experience at Wasabi in Mt Pleasant. The restaurant came highly recommended and still managed to exceed my expectations. Everyone was friendly and the decor was chic yet comfortable. Anthony was so friendly, helpful and attentive, he made us feel like family. As a first timer there, he helped us navigate the menu to our personal palates and his recommendations were on point! Don’t miss the Lotus Flower and Eel with Shrimp Tempura rolls. Equally delicious, the Twice Cooked Chicken and Pad Thai came out well prepared and presented. I don’t usually order dessert, but we couldn’t resist the fried cheesecake with green tea ice cream. Big enough to share, but you may not want to. Perfect ending to a perfect meal.“

“I've come here for years, there were obviously new additions to the serving world and they got in each other's way but it's a learning curve. The chicken was way over cooked as well as the tender steak(not so tender) for a 24$v plate i was a lil let down. I'll be back to try again i will just not order the most expensive thing on the menu, food is better when slower“

“Overall, we had a very positive experience. We were greeted warmly and our server Sophia(?) was an absolute delight. The bang bang shrimp and calamari were delicious and a generous portion. The burgers were great, shrimp po boy flavor was nice, although smaller shrimp may have made it easier to eat. The yard bird was phenomenal and the crab cake sandwich had a wonderful flavor profile. Sidewinder fries were a hit with everyone. The only negatives we experienced was the Cajun pasta was subpar with a bit of an odd flavoring to where my guest could not finish it and didn't want to take it home. The gluten free bun for one of the crab cake sandwiches was extremely dry and could not be eaten like a sandwich. A little butter and toasting may have helped, but there are better brand GF buns available than the one used. Will be returning for more!“
