Brenda and I had a great dinner at The Wreck tonight a very casual neighborhood restaurant in Old Village Mount Pleasant. Server Melanie made the evening special and even though food was served in paper plates and beer in plastic cups the food was so delicious it didn't matter. This place exceeded our expectations! Really cool atmosphere with the wreck / ship yard vibe. It's relaxed and fun, service was great even though the place was packed, and best of all, the fish was so fresh. I had the flounder dinner and my husband got the seafood platter. It was fried food but we didn't leave feeling greasy and heavy. Definitely would go back and bring friends on our next trip to the coast.

We started with the shecrab soup...wow was that good... then with our meal, came this square of...(homely???) (Spiced up grits that cooled in a pan and then fried with something on it.. I love it...
After the great seafood.. we had dessert... mine was blueberry cheese cake... I'm a cheesecake...
