Crab Du Jour Charleston Cajun Seafood Restaurant & Bar

Was seated and hadn’t been acknowledged in more than 5 min. Server outside talking to friends And cook on smoke break. Will not be returning.went right over to red crab was seated and ordered taken same time. Better prices too!

I visited Crab Du Jour recently and was disappointed with the service I received. Upon entering, there were two employees at the register, but neither greeted me as a customer, which didn’t set the best tone. After reviewing the menu and deciding on my order, I requested the shrimp with head boil, fries, and a drink.

The employee taking my order seemed to struggle with the POS system, and once she finished, she failed to ask me for my preferred flavor or spice level for the boil, even though this is a standard part of the menu. When I tried to clarify and select a spice level, she curtly told me “no” without any explanation, which I found odd and unprofessional.

On a previous visit, another employee was kind enough to explain a potential issue with the shrimp. While I appreciated her effort, I felt it was inappropriate for that information to come from her instead of being addressed officially by the restaurant if the issue is ongoing. If there’s a known problem, the item should be temporarily removed from the menu.

Overall, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer care. I hope management addresses these service concerns to improve the dining experience.

I've been dining here for about 3 years. I usually order the crab cake appetizer along with seafood boil combo 3 (mild Cajun) with extra corn/ red potatoes. As someone who's lived on the coast their whole life, I can truly say this is not just the most delicious seafood spot, but consistent quality every time I visit. 👌

Mom & I went on. Whim for lunch on a Monday. Not very many patrons. One server. He was excellent with a very cheerful demeanor. It was very clean.
I had the fried catfish basket. Mmmmm! It has beennyears since I ate fried catfish (not much fried foods at all). The batter on everything fried was light with a great & simple flavoring of herbs. The fried calamari came out just right, not chewing. The fish was moist & delicious.

I will be telling family & friends about Crab Du Jour Charleston!

My daughter said that was some delicious crab legs. My whole family enjoyed our meal but she said I give it a 10 outta 10!

This was epic fail most of my mussels had nothing in it or was so small just lil bigger than a nut they had an answer for all of it but didn’t think it wasn’t unacceptable because as they stated we don’t know what they look like till they come out but they still brought it out . They said they no longer give military discount but they did the week before so if that’s true pardon me. But being that I felt like they were basically running me the customer down instead of taking responsibility and just trying to fix it those mussels we straight trash had no place on a plate to serve to customers. I listen to the manager /bartender for the night using profanity while a child was in the mist I guess this is common it not their kid. Well, I guess I have to remove this from my list of places to go , it just didn’t feel welcoming or like the customer came first not talking about being right just talking about the whole delivery.

Loved the atmosphere of the place. The 90's music was playing throughout the place and that was very enjoyable for me. We did have a to wait a little for a server but when he did come he was awesome 💯. The food was delicious 😋😋 y'all. Very rarely do I get to enjoy seafood, but hunny this was soo good, I eat everything. This was a sister's day out. But now it's on my list for places to go for date night 😉. And they have karaoke 🎤😀😃🎤

Loved my soul food dinner! Black eyed peas were absolutely perfect. The collards had a little sweetness I could do without, but I tend to like a sprinkle of vinegar on mine. A matter of choice, but they were cooked just right. Fried okra was good, it always is! Now, my fried catfish, I love catfish! Nice crunchy crust. Fluffy inside. Yum. Only thing I was iffy on were the butter garlic oysters, they were falling apart when we tried to scoop them out of the shells. Not something I'm accustomed to happening. Flavor was good, so I ate them. Service was good but waiter seemed he had a lot going on, maybe he needed another pair of hands to help? He did good though! Music a little loud if you want to have a conversation, but just right if you don't want to talk much with the person you're with 😅.

Really nice atmosphere. Crab was great. The shrimp poboy was excellent. Convenient location. Highly recommend them.
