I think everyone agrees that finding your drink in this condition is one of the most disappointing things. We asked if they were still making the iced lavender cream oatmilk matcha and got a “yes” as an answer, once we got our drinks we realized they didn’t mix both drinks at all and had barely any lavender cold foam, and my boyfriend was too embarrassed to say anything even if it isn’t the first time this incident happens with the same drink. Straight match powder is such a nasty flavor and it was undrinkable so we ended up throwing more than 15 dollars away. What’s the problem with mixing the drink properly? Every (of the few) sips tasted terrible.

My mom and I come here all the time and we love it but this is a sight I see way too frequently... Strawberry açai is my favorite drink but today I got to enjoy it for only like 30 seconds and there was barely 5 strawberry pieces in the cup the drink was a bit watered down and my drink was 2/3rds ice. Service is inconsistent, our sandwiches are also not always warmed all the way through. Would really like to see an improvement in quality as we spend a lot of money here.
Edit: my mom finished her drink and noticed there wasn't any caramel in her caramel macchiato...

Several times I’ve been here it’s hit or miss my drink is made perfectly or I’m only given 75% of my drink and the rest is foam (that I didn’t request) with a shaken espresso being almost $7 I expect ALL of my drink :(

Took 20 min to get a coffee, this took so long for a store that really was not that busy, I see why people pre-order so they do have to wait

Their phone is busy cant reach the store directly. Today was unusually unpleasant because we ordered two drinks and they had soap in them. The nitro brew cup had suds in it. After finishing the drink I kept rinsing it off to add to the recycle, but clearly soap suds and bubbles 🫧 kept showing up after several rinses. Then an hour later my boyfriend threw up the entire drink and I had bad diarrhea from my chai drink also. I never have a problem here but today was very bad, please rinse dishes more thoroughly 🙏 😢 😔 We are going to be okay but it was a very sick morning and I couldn't go to work because of it.

I frequent this SB regularly and Im honestly shocked at the behavior of the baristas. I ordered a drink via mobile and got in line at the time the app stated it would be ready between. The girl on the mic was rude “um next time wait until you get a ready notification we havent even made it yet we just got it” okay well not my problem. I got in line when it said it would be ready. I got to the window and she handed me my drink and in a rude tone stated “heres your drink” I said thank you and she said no response back. Then I could hear the other baristas talking clear as day about me and how I got in line before my drink was made. Im not sure ill be back.
Service with kindness and a smile, along with refreshing drinks, made the right way.

Thank you JT, for a lovely first experience at your location. Excellent service, and I mean truly outstanding. When they team took the time to use my first name several times, ask me about the reason we're visiting the area, and be so kind (and let's not forget, HUMAN) about forgetting to make my coffee), it just all falls together to make a really nice experience.
We've been traveling all over LA county over the last few weeks and there IS an absolutely stark difference between this location and the others we've visited. The friendliness here, the overall service, great energy as soon as you walk in (huge, friendly greeting to all!), the cleanliness and the HOT HOT coffee. My friend had a delicious lemonade that she indicated was spot on. My turkey and provolone sandwich was heated up and was so good. JT also put in lots of cream, just as I'd asked/hoped for.
We did walk in order and on-site sitting. Parking here is the only downside, but let's be real... we are located in the heart of the university district. So pedestrian walk-ins or pay for street parking are the norm.
Lots of tables to sit at facing outside to the surrounding activity, pedestrians etc is nice. Also lot of outdoor tables both in the sun (with parasols) and in the shade. Great place to people watch, or do some work on your laptop.
