I live all the way up in Northern Virginia right outside of DC and it was still very cold as if I pulled it straight from the fridge/freezer. I just had such a huge slice that it ended up replacing my dinner, and I’m already planning to enjoy another (smaller) piece for breakfast tomorrow! 😇

The cake is super moist, full of flavor, and the frosting is the perfect balance; creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. Everything about it is just right. Truly one of the best carrot cakes I’ve ever had. I cannot say enough about how delicious it is! I’m looking forward to ordering some of the vegan options for some of my close friends who are vegan, I will definitely be spreading the word of your delicious cakes to everyone I know! ☺️”

“It was a 25 minute drive, but it was worth every mile. Very friendly people, family owned. Had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and his daughter. The food was amazing, it was prepared by his lovely wife. I had a shrimp platter and a hotdog with chili.. Normally I put ketchup on my hotdog, but this hotdog did not need any extra topping. I highly recommend 💚”

“Stopped by here on the way home from a long, rough road trip as a joke because of the name. We were not dressed fancy and had our kids in tow and they were still incredibly kind and the food was hot, delicious, fresh, and the best part of the last week vacation we’ve had. Portions were large and made the prices feel worth it. We will have to stop by here again, even if it is 2 1/2 hours from home. Thank you all!!!!”

“Holmes Hotdogs and catering may be the best local restaurant you could ever have the pleasure of visiting. I first came here over a year ago and I knew then it was something special. If I had a friend from another country visiting, and I could choose one place to show them a true slice of what America should be, I would take them here without a second thought. Holmes has a small menu, and I believe it is perfect. Because of their small menu, I believe they are able to assure every single item on it is made with quality and care. They recently added a new item, the bird dog, to their menu. The bird dog features a chicken tender, pickles, and honey mustard on a hot dog bun. I thought the bird dog was incredible, and I'll be sure to get it again with onions next time. I would personally recommend their chicken sandwich, which is always piping hot and made to order, and their sausage dogs, which I personally believe are their standout menu items, especially with sauerkraut and onions topping them. Holmes has an atmosphere unlike any other restaurants I've ever been in, you can tell the owner and employees truly care about not just the quality of their food and service, but also the wellbeing of their community. I've never felt like I don't belong when I walk into Holmes. I've wrote all of this without even mentioning their incredible prices, which are comparable to other local locations, however the quality of the food, service, and everything else about Holmes is what makes this location worth so much more than any other in the area. Out of anything I've ever reviewed, Holmes has worked the hardest and consistently proved their 5 star rating, and I have no doubt if I reviewed them in another year, they would continue to hold it.”

“the waitress Tina needs another job cause being a waitress isn't the job for her she DROPPED 2 boxes on floor behind me she could have sat them down instead she rushed us to order never came back and asked us if we needed coffee had to get up 2 times to get more when she cleared a table of it's dishes she dropped them down on other dishes so that was very loud also she was right at my table and didn't even look my way then when we was waiting to pay in line instead of saying excuse me sir she once again was rude saying "you need to move" so I could complain about the food also but I'll jus complain about "Tina" the waitress. bad service can ruin the whole experience of eating here never going to waste my money or time again the rest of staff was great though..put Tina to doing dishes in the back so others don't have to experience her being disrespectful”

“This place is what Spartanburg needed. A well serviced good atmosphered sit down restraunt with all the convenience of a quick meal. We sat down and enjoyed amazing appetizers and food and paid up front and served our own drinks. The food came out fast and the outside seating was clean and well taken care of 20/10 lookin forward to my next meal and thanks Terry for the dessert recommendations they were spot on!”

“Me and my husband had our first date here about 4 years ago and since then, it’s been our go to place anytime we want sushi. It is well prepared, delicious and amazing every single time. The sushi is the main thing we get every time, but the hibachi and bento boxes are also delicious. Never been disappointed and don’t think we’ll ever go anywhere else for our sushi fix.”
