We just left. The food was good, but unfortunately the service was slow.
We were never checked on after our food was delivered—no one asked how everything was or if we needed another drink. Later, we were asked about dessert, which we declined, and our check was dropped off. After waiting over 10 minutes with no one returning, we had to go find someone so we could pay.
Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the service experience definitely needs improvement.
I had the Fish Basket today. All three fried seafood items were seriously over cooked. The fried flounder was over cooked and dried out. The five fried oysters were the size of quarters and very over fried. The five fried shrimp were OK. The French fries were average. For $22 for an item on the lunch menu, the portion was not impressive.
This was my first time to the Fish Camp. I was really looking forward to it, but was very disappointed,
Fish Camp on 11th Street is putting out some great seafood! We found it through a TikTok review of the Beaufort area, and it did not disappoint. This place is huge with plenty of seating, so we did not have a problem finding a comfortable table on the screened-in porch. First off, we tried a couple cocktails - the Crab Punch and the Pineapple Mojito (both were excellent - the Mojito was very good blend of ingredients).
