12 Best Tex-Mex Restaurants near Travelers Rest

“I must say this was our 2nd visit as our 1st in Sept of 2024 was very disappointing (no seasoning, bland). Definitely took friends recommendation on the Quesadilla Nachos - FANTASTIC! Hubby got the Texan Burrito and we loved all of it this time!“

“C-ray was great!! Very professional!!“

“Great service from Savannah, and great food as always!“

“Thought I'd try out a new tex mex place and Barberitos absolutely exceeded my expectations! Walked in and was greeted by the employee Cooper who made me one of the most delicious burritos I've ever had. Great food and especially great service. Shout out Cooper for being the best! Will definitely come back!“

“My boyfriend and I go to this Barbs every Sunday and it is always the highlight of our week! The food is so tasty and fresh, vibes are high, and service is excellent. Wanted to shout out the man working 9/20 around noon for the BEST burritos we’ve had in over a year coming to Barbs. He had great energy and was walking around making sure everyone was taken care of. Thank you for a fabulous lunch!“

“Supreme Enchiladas were so good. House Margarita was wonderful and half off during happy hour last Thursday night. Guacamole and Chips were also great. Our waiter was wonderful. Would definitely recommend. It was my first time here. Our group loved everything that they ordered.“

“I had such a pleasant experience here today ! We were assisted by Leo and he had SUCH AN AMAZING & kind attitude!! He was so kind I ask him how I could give him a great review!! These days it seems like quality customer service is almost nonexistent & not even taught during training anymore but Leo definitely showed the beautiful side of customer service!!! I opened the bag and saw this beautiful note from him to top it all off!! Keep up the great work, Leo. Any establishment is blessed to have you on their team!“

“The Augusta Street location is always a good location for me. It is convenient to work. The service is always efficient and polite! E'Myla cashed out my order and was pleasant to speak with during my quick interaction. The music was nice also.“

“I frequent this special place once a month since I like the good air that is unique to this place. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably welcoming and qualified. The service is extraordinarily fast. Needless to say, the food they cook is great. I have been there more than once and I was always happy. The price is fair. I suggest this place to all my friends.“

“Excellent, authentic mexican food, large portions, quality ingredients, friendly staff, very efficient.. I always get takeout of the Chicken Soup, but today I went inside and ate a vegetable plate rich with fresh ingredients and delicious taste. It's an excellent value for the money. You can't get a better meal than here or a better service!!!“

“8/18/26 4:20 Two girls waited on me and they were truly awesome. I am so happy to see young people working and they were good at their job. I have been to Moe's but it was BBQ in Asheville NC. First time at Moe's Southwest grill and it was really good and a bonus their was a salsa bar!!!!! I will definitely be coming back!!“

“My only problem is the Smokehouse combo pricing. When you add ribs it says +3.00 where the calories are listed!!! It need to be under the choose any two for 18.49 or any 3 for 20.59! This is very sneaky and deceiving.! Not true also!! You can’t choose any two or three of you want Ribs! Thank you Kim Holthaus“
