“Had a great experience eating lunch at Break on the Lake. Enjoyed sharing a Captain’s Platter of fried oysters and shrimp with steamed broccoli and a baked potato. Everything was cooked perfectly. The wait staff is superb. Highly recommend. Will continue to make a special trip to this wonderful restaurant.”

“Tonight’s two meals…chicken livers with mashed potatoes/gravy and green beans, and cornmeal coated fried catfish fillets with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies well….were cooked perfect and great quantity! Mike and Brenda and their team know how to take great care of their customers! Good food, excellent service, and very fair pricing. It’s hometown grand mom type of cooking. We have been here in Cross Hill since September ‘21, and have found ourselves eating here for lunch and dinner many times! (It’s become a weekly “must-do”. You can’t go wrong with their sandwiches and burgers, salads, meat and two/three meals, or desserts! I’m a big foodie, and this place does it right! 5 stars plus!!!”

I have no clue what his name is but I know that every time I come in with my husband he is friendly, attentive, and makes sure that all of his guests are having an amazing time. ..secondly the chef(s) are superb ..I don't know who is back there rattling those pots and pans, but they simply do not miss.... I have tried almost everything on the menu and they have not failed me once ...lastly the decor and decorations are very nice and aesthetically pleasing, making this place the total package for a wind down time in the evening or a quick date night... oh and the drinks are tasty too... overall, they understood the assignment ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾”

“We ordered through the the app while we were on a road trip. First time at this location. Parking was super easy.

In the time that it took us to go in and use the restroom, our order was ready.

My husband ordered a 12 count nugget meal and I got a market salad with grilled chicken nuggets. His food was nice and hot. My salad was large and fresh. And very tasty.

We were in and out in no time with great food and back on the road quickly. Well done.”
