Great place....the cafe in town was our first choice but it we had terrible service so we left and found this gem! Friendly staff, drinks were full, quick service-even though they were swamped. It was tasty to boot

Went here for lunch after the Quilt Show. They were incredibly busy but with no one wanting to work these employee's were hustling like crazy. They actually have a sign up that explains the delay in service. And it also says please don't punish those who actually came to work. I love that!Anyway...I had a burger and it was really good. Fries were nice and hot. And the fresh-brewed iced tea was awesome. It really didn't take that long to get our order considering how busy they were.I definitely recommend stopping in for a quick meal!

The website said they were open. My husband called to confirm that yes they were open.it was a recording. We went there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were very disappointed to arrive their and all the lights were out. This was at 5 pm. Note on the door note open till Saturday, September 18th. They need to get their act together. The town was swarming with people. They would have had a profitable night. There were others they wanting to go in.

One of the best places to eat in the area. Love the atmosphere and neon lights. Grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and tender. Fries were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Staff was incredible, too!

Expect to pay to much for what you get. If you order grilled food it will be toast example patty melt was never on grill very dry and hard toast. Fries were good. Same with other meals ordered. Malt was good but again expensive.

Was walking my new puppy and was going to stop here to eat. Walked into the doorway holding my small dog to ask if I could sit outside with him while I eat. Was greeted be being yelled at. Hostess said that he couldn't be inside which I get but I'm not leaving my puppy outside alone to ask if he can be in the outdoor eating area. I was holding him and he wasn't barking or doing anything wrong for me to be rudely yelled at. I'm local and not eating here anymore.

Quick and good. Had a huge salad and hot roast beef sandwich. Both were great. Recommended.

The grilled chicken sandwich is boiled in water not grilled, absolutely disgusting. I use to come here every year for the grilled chicken sandwich…… we won’t be back .

We enjoy diners are were excited to find this one in Hill City. Not sure if it was due to COVID or being short staffed--a sign on the door mentioned being short staffed-but customers seat themselves then go to the counter to order. The food is delivered to your table, though. The menu is typical diner fare, as we had hoped, but it is overpriced. I realize that Hill City is a tourist area, especially during the summer, but these were the highest diner prices I think I have ever paid and I have eaten at diners around the country. The desserts were huge, which might make up some for the high prices, but the entrees were "normal" sized. The decor is okay--a fair but minimal attempt at a diner look.

The Reuben sandwich had the best sauce! The best! Downside to great sauce? Soggy bread. Everything else I just ate with a fork. It was so good! The fried pickles were interesting but good. Trey came French Cut. The rest of the food that we ordered was good. Pricey but what else do you get in a resort town.

We had 4 kids under 10 years old and this was the best place on the strip in Hill City to eat! They served the largest deserts or malts we have ever seen. One was enough got all 6 of us. It's a 1950s setting with burgers, fries, and deserts. The menu is just average, but the relaxed atmosphere was great for a family. It was about $85.00 with tip. So it was good prices for a tourist area. The staff took a picture of the family for us too so that was nice.

This was a great place to bring kids for dinner. Cute little diner with the classic diner food. Shakes were pretty good. I was just disappointed because my triple cheese grilled cheese (off the regular menu) looked like it should've been on the kids menu. It was plain and there wasn't much too it. I was pretty disappointed. The Mac salad was really good though, and I'm a Mac salad snob! Overall it was fine! Not sure id come back but glad we had a place to sit down and eat after a long day of exploring that day!

Good food and friendly people. They looked like they were understaffed but they were working very hard. Just be patient with them the food is worth it.

Decent American fare. Nice fun diner atmosphere. They forgot the nacho fries.
