I stopped to get fuel and as I passed through to get my receipt. I seen the food and had to park to try it. I’m so glad I did. The food was great! I ordered the Mexican Omelette and it was fantastic. The meat wasn’t greasy as I’ve had at other restaurants. So this was a plus for me. The cook knows what he is doing. The people were very friendly and nice and helpful with questions I had. I got the sausages from another plate. So that would be extra.

If you leave from HERE hungry, you might need to go on a diet! HUGE pancakes, Thick Link Sausage, and coffee that just doesn't end. 😋😋😋

This place is amazing. You get more than you asked for or expected. Highly recommended food stop. The chicken fried steak was the size of an oval dinner plate. The cheese curds and onion rings were PERFECT. And the mashed potatoes had great flavor. I wish they had better veggie options like broccoli but the veg medley was the best it could be. I’ll be back for sure 👍

New place. Good atmosphere. Patty melt was dry and had NO 1000 dressing at all! Bread was grilled to almost burnt. Wait staff never returned to table except to ask if we were ready for our bill, which she didn't show us until after she ran our card.

I ordered a patty melt and told them I want it cooked medium well. The sandwich I got was mostly burnt. Meat was burnt and dry, onions were burnt, toast was burnt, and mushrooms were also burnt. I ate the sandwich and barely tasted much. They had great service and a very respectable restaurant. They need to hire cooks that know how to cook each dish. The onions on a patty melt should be pretty long and caramelized, not diced up into little pieces and burnt.

went for dinner yesterday, first thing we saw was the prices were higher than expected. ordered 2 roast beef platters. There were cold spots in in the sandwich, bread was dried out as was the potatoes. what really got me was for the price i expected meat, only had 2 small slices. The waitress wasn't attentive, barely came by.

We ate at many different restaurants while in rapid city and none of them compared to this diner. The staff was friendly, food prices were reasonable and the food was incredible.

Another restaurant without a care in the World! Arrived, always seat yourself which is a horrible idea when your staff never pays attention, sat myself, waited 5 minutes before another guest approached a lady to tell her he had been waiting. While mouth full of food, she looks up, makes eye contact with me, and eventually, after swallowing her food, she offered to get me a drink. Brought the drink and told me someome would be with me. Waited another 10 minutes to only be ignored. Finally left. Makes.me want to bring my friends and family by.....I'm kidding. Smh.
