We ended up eating here 2 nights. The first night we sat outside(alley area to side of restaurant). The service was great, food excellent. The second night we had to wait for table inside-not enough staff for outside seating. It went downhill from there. Food was ok, and service extremely slow.
Server was friendly and efficient. The food was nothing to write home about and over priced. My Reuben was small and didnât have dressing on it. There was some sauce on the side that came with it but it didnât belong on a Reuben. The seasoned rice was dry and heavily seasoned with pepper. The blue burger was okay but again not worth the price. We were seated outside and shown to a table in the sun. I declined and she moved us next to the giant fire pits. The Firehouse is in the older part of the city, but that part of Rapid City is beautiful and well maintained. Lots of shopping nearby. We stopped in the Firehouse and had a great lunch. It was quiet with excellent service and delicious food. My wife had an overly large pork sandwich, and I had a simple burger and fries. Both were larger than we expected and tasted fabulous. Next time in Rapid City it will be a great place to âchow downâ.
