Great beer. Great mead. Great atmosphere. Great food (Ranch & Roost next door). Nothing more needs to be said.
The food is good, but only ok for the price. The view from the dining room and deck over the lake is nice, and they have plentiful seating. Go here for the mead and atmosphere, not the food.

Big Lost Meadery and Brewery offers a great selection of beers and meads, with a focus on mead. The atmosphere is phenomenal, with a quiet, awesome patio and perfect views of Lake Lorraine. Guests can sit outside or inside. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; one bartender and co-owner was very knowledgeable about both the meads and the beer. Karen and Riley go above and beyond. The food is yummy and delicious, with chicken fingers and fries being great. A customer tried a flight of three meads, including Crazy Woman, Island Gypsy, Buckwheat, and Cocoa Buckwheat, with Crazy Woman as the favorite. Another guest enjoyed a flight of four beers: Black Alt, West Coast IPA, Pumpkin Pie Ale, and Scotch Ale, with the Scotch Ale being the best. The pilsner is the perfect homage to a classic, crisp pils. The mead was room temperature, which was odd, but still yummy. Cocktails are made from the meads. Highly recommended.
