Granny’s Country Omelet … oh how I’ve missed you since the Council Bluffs location closed. Julio Jara is the best manager ever. The food today was delicious! The service was STELLAR. Chloe was friendly and attentive. The hostess greeted us with a warm smile and seated us . And the guy who checked us out (I neglected to get his name) was awesome too!! Give that boy some time off so he can go and explore the state he lives in!! 😂
My wife and I went there tonight (10-9-26) around 8p, and it was quite busy cuz a big bus just pulled in. There was 1 man pretty much doing everything, including taking orders and serving, and he was AWESOME. I feel like most people would get all hot and irritable in that situation, but this man was super calm and friendly and had a servant heart like an absolute legend.

We are SO happy we stopped here before hitting the road for our road trip! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so good!
But what really made our morning was Ellen B. (Ellie). She was AMAZING! She had us laughing, was incredibly helpful, and truly went out of her way to make our experience even better. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about the people they’re serving, and Ellie absolutely does.

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is a solid choice for a reliable meal, especially for breakfast. The pancakes are always fluffy and delicious, and the diner atmosphere makes a long morning feel comfortable. Guests often receive good service, with friendly and prompt staff like Makena and Graydon Rosenberger. While most food is great, one visit had an issue with salmon not cooked completely, though it was replaced and made better. Always great food, with compliments to the head chef. A 6 pack of muffins was a hit with kids. This is the best breakfast around Minot—so fresh and the best taste. A regular spot for many.
