“Wakaw Bar is a classic small-town spot—laid-back, friendly, and exactly the kind of place locals actually use. The vibe is simple and comfortable, with a good mix of regulars, cold beer, and a “hang out for a while” feel. It’s an easy stop to catch up with friends, play a bit of VLT/pool-style bar games, and enjoy a relaxed night without any big-city attitude. Service is welcoming and the atmosphere feels genuinely local.”

“Its good to go to, quick service, not usually busy later in the evening.. during the day the parking lot is terrible for trucks. Tastes good like it did before subway moved to this location.”
“Quite an interesting experience. The service was truly amazing, a little blonde man offered to lick my icecream tip for me because I was unable to. The atmosphere reminded me of a chain smokers wet dream, it was truly sensational. As for the food itself, there were several pieces of curly hair in my food, and they didn’t even taste good. I would recommend the service, and for the vibes, but the food is atrocious”

“Made the hour drive from Saskatoon to Wong's restaurant on main street in Wakaw.
I had read some reviews about the food being served there and they said the had both Chinese and Canadian dishes.
Was very easy to find, the building is older inside and out and I assume it was build in the fifties or sixties.
However it was clean inside and the sidewalk has been recently redone with a mix of concrete and brick which is a nice touch.
I had a friend along which allowed us to order five dishes which gave us a great sampling of the Chinese food. We ordered the dishes in the smaller size which was a good call as we had a lot of food and ended up taking half of it as a takeaway.
The lady serving us was very friendly and to the point in out picking of dishes and everything was made fresh and was delivered quickly to the table.
We arrived at 11:40 and the regulars started coming in just before noon, it appears you could seat around 50 people among all the tables.
Overall the food was great, hot and fresh and the moo good gui pan was excellent with lots of fresh mushrooms 🍄 and chicken 🐔 in a oyster sauce.”
