“Some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth. Literally ate this cold. Best food I’ve literally put in my mouth. The fried rice is so flavorful, the shrimp tempura is crispy and delicious, the California rolls are super fresh, and salad with ginger dressing is so good.

Vegetarian options: I the California roll is so good and tastes so good. It feels so clean & it’s great“

“Fantastic meal! Love the menu. We sat outside but beautifully elegant ambience inside. About an hour or so before we walked over to eat I stopped in and got a menu and the ladies at the hostess podium were super kind. When we came back we were again met by a very helpful employee, Delilah. She sat us immediately and ended up being our server for the meal. She was thorough and knowledgeable. The service and the meal were perfect! We will absolutely be regularly returning and we will be requesting Delilah every time. Great experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone! P.S.- They do lunch from 12-3pm, happy hour (including apps) from 3-6pm. And apparently they have a rooftop (kid friendly) open on Friday & Saturday evenings until 12am.“

“I challenge anyone to spend 20$ on lunch. 10$ meals with tons of delicious food. The house salad and soup are really good, the bento boxes and hibachi are delicious. Kind and polite service, and they are on top of your drinks. Overall 10/10 would come again“

“This fried chicken we got was next level DELICIOUS, from the breading, to the chicken seasoning, and that special sauce it came with. Yum!!! Highly recommended! The portion is large and priced reasonably. We found this place online and was skeptical at first since it’s not a traditional set up restaurant, turned out to be such a hidden gem! You can find many different restaurants in this food hall. We can’t wait to come back and try more food soon“

“The first experiences weren't the best. Showing up with no cars at all. Walking into a completely dead restaurant, including zero employees. We ordered. Had a good selection. After we ordered. There was a huge water bug walking across the floor. But the food came. And it was actually really good. Well prepared and pretty quickly. All our food was delicious. Water and tea tasted bad. But that's not uncommon, I've noticed. They did quit a few to go orders while we were there. The food was good enough I'd visit again“

“Our server made this experience very enjoyable for us- we thought we'd come in and get our regular sushi orders (we eat sushi very regularly in Canada and were missing it on our trip). But he convinced us to go with a chefs choice sashimi option and have their drunken elephant sake. We learned that the sake we had been drinking regularly (hot) was not pure sake - so learning about this was a really fun experience! Loved both options for food/ wasn't really filling but we weren't looking to fill ourselves up it was mostly about trying new things. Up until this point in the trip we hadn't had very good interactions with Nashville workers / customer service in general so this was very refreshing - our server I forget his name but he was really kind to us, told us a bit about the area - and had some incredible recommendations. “This place was perfect. Compared to other Sushi places, this is by far the best one. The fried rice ordered was LITERALLY golden, the beef in it stood out from the rest of the rice and tasted really good. The customer service was not outstanding but there was NO issues with them. We had also ordered the spicy lover roll which was the best one in which I recommend. The atmosphere is also good, having detailed and being intricate everywhere.

Parking: Parking MIGHT be an issue due to the fact the restaurant is near other ones.

“Wow wow wow! What a hidden gem! My fiancé & I had a perfect date night at Present Tense!! The food was amazing, the atmosphere is unmatched, and the service was fantastic.

We learned near the end of our dinner that one of the servers was sick, so the person who served us was actually the owner, Rick! He was phenomenal & extremely kind!

“I have been coming to Sakura's for 20+ years. Liam is the 5th owner. He is coming into his own style. Food is good, both Sushi and kitchen. Kitchen is faster than Sushi right now. They also have bottle beer, wine and saki.

“Just got into town and was looking for some food. There is another Sushi place across the street but ended up in this one based on the reviews I googled. Ordered the Chirasi bowl and it looked a bit different from what I was used to and different from the picture that is here on this page. Meal also came with Miso soup which was delicious, thick and flavorful and I had a Sapporo to go with. The way the sushi was sliced on the bowl was odd to me but it tasted fine and there was some light sauce on it. What knocked it down for me was the fake crab meat pieces as I'd prefer real crab. Otherwise fast and friendly service.“

“This place was an absolute surprise for just a random roadside noodle shop. The Beef Teriyaki- Yaki-Style bowl is a great combination of pan fried noodles and sweetly slathered beef strips with crispy veggies and the chicken pot stickers are some of the best quality I've ever had at ANY Asian restaurant. The service was great even though there is a definite language barrier there at the register. Just as a random afterthought I enjoyed the muti-fork-chopstick utensil idea. Even though my trusty sidekick was more useful after one or two bites.“

When I ordered, the owner, Noi, pointed out that I could get an additional roll for the same price if I did the special, which I appreciated. The price was reasonable, my food was ready in 5-7 minutes, there was gluten free soy sauce, and there was quite a bit of fish packed into each maki roll I ordered.
