“We love this restuarant and it’s our go-to place for every milestone moments but this review is about a bad experience we had today with our lunch order. We ordered a take out for my husband’s birthday and when we came back home we found one entree is missing. On calling back the restaurant , we explained in details what’s missing and requested them to keep the item ready as we wanted to eat together as a family before everything becomes cold. However when my husband reached the restaurant he was told that they didn’t believe us and then the server went to talk to the chef. After that she was convinced that the issue was on their side and took another 20 mins to give the food. This is outrageous and honestly feels borderline racist. She could’ve checked with the chef before we went back. We love this restaurant but this has left a very bad impression on us“

“My wife and I have been wanting to go try Opa for a while but just never did. I decided to make reservations for our 39th wedding anniversary. It was a great decision. The place reminded me of being invited to a friend’s house for dinner. No pretense, no false pleasantries. Just an open door, a welcome smile and a hand shake for a guest. I say it is like going to a friend’s house because you just sit, served a bottle of wine and welcomed. The beauty of this can be lost on some but you are served what is prepared. Prepared by the owner, Michael. His meal is your meal. The atmosphere is not fancy. This allows the guest the opportunity to relax, have a glass of wine and actually talk. Talk to your date or talk to other guests. You feel as if you are in Greece in a small home from the 1930’s. There is none of the blue and white that is typical of “Greek” restaurants. Just great food and a great host supported by a great staff. Come prepared to have fun. If you are looking for that quiet place to discuss today’s problems, this is not it. This is your escape for 3 hours. Come prepared to laugh, have fun and dance. Dance with your wife, dance with a stranger and yes, dance with Michael. The food is amazing. I do not know what it was but it was amazing. It was the first place I had ever eaten lamb and liked it. That is saying a lot for this old man.“

“We ordered delivery, so I can’t comment on ambiance. However, the food was excellent and the portions generous. I had the eggplant parmigiana. There were layers of thinly sliced eggplant lightly breaded and so tender. Some of the best I’ve had. Husband had the gyro which was seasoned really well. Would definitely recommend.“
