“The food, atmosphere and hospitality were phenomenal. Everyone enjoyed their soul food. If I ever make it back to Memphis, I will definitely eat here again. The food was absolutely amazing.“

“This is a 4.5 place! I had the chitlins, greens, candied yams and it came with a piece of hot water corn bread. My bill was 25.00. It was all soooo good! I literally didn't make it home and just ate in my truck while listening to music. Hattie B. Is so nice and personable. She favors my grandma who just passed last year and meeting her made my heart smile. This is a must go for great soul food. I took it down a half star due to them only excepting cash and I didn't see any seating. It's a lil bit on the pricier side, but it was worth it.

Parking: It's on a one way street and this place has a lot of people that go after church. I parked on the next block literally across the street from the restaurants corner“

Catfish, greens, Mac & cheese, spaghetti, yams, turkey & dressing, coleslaw, fried green tomatoes, VIP, lemonade, yellow cake with chocolate icing, cinnamon rolls, and peach cobbler! 💯 The catfish fried hard was perfection! friendly atmosphere. We went for Black Restaurant Week and got there right at 11am ! After that it was completely PACKED!! Definitely going back! We brought a lot home with us so the rest of the family could taste test!! 😁“

“Stopped by Soul and Soul to get some real soul food for Daddy's soulholes. First thing I noticed was Elvis eveywhere, man Gomer loves the round mound of sound. Thats why we drove to Memphis from Newark, to pay our respects at Graceland. Ok their fried chicken was Bigbootiebanggan'. Look at the pic of Bernice and her new nail job diggin' in! she ate 2 birds, we gonna have a quake tonight when this crew rolls into that sparkling clean Super 8 Motel! Jasmine and Amina, the trustworthy baby girl shared a big bowl of Collard Greens. I even got a haircut next door at Gandys barber shop. Next stop Graceland“

“In the Memphis area for my birthday. Was told about this location from the hotel staff. The food was HOT and fresh,seasoned to perfection. I ordered neck bones, green beans and yams. Customer service and hospitality was outstanding. Yes, the building is a little rundown, and it's difficult to maintain 6ft social distance in such a small area. But put your mask and gloves on, and get ready for your taste buds to be highly satisfied! My next visit to Memphis, this will definitely be one my stop.“

“Peggy's Heavenly home cooking, is some of the best cooking I've had in a while. I was expecting middle of the road type of cooking. HA!!! OMG!!! It was delicious I ordered the fried catfish plate with greens and pinto beans with the cornbread riding shotgun. The only bad thing that I can say about Peggy's is that I was allowed to get my food to go, shame on me. I never got the chance to drive away. I sat right there in front of the restaurant and ate the entire plate, until my eyes were bulging out of my head. If you're a fan of down home cooking Peggy's is the place to go and the staff is friendly, professional and polite. It reminded me of the TV show cheers because they knew everybody's name GREAT JOB PEGGY'S HEAVENLY HOME COOKING“

“I had the pleasure of dining at Willie Mae's in Memphis Tn, On August 31 2022, I was thoroughly impressed with the food . The chittlins reminded me of my mommas in Rosedale Mississippi. The cornbread was firm yet moist, the Collard greens were on the money ,just enough sweetness and pepper to create an awesome flavorprofile. The Macaroni and cheese was baked to perfection, just cheesy goodness. I don't do shout outs, but if I did Willie Mae's gets my vote!“

“Went here for lunch for the first and it was decent. I’ve passed it multiple times because I live in the area but never had a chance to stop. I got the chicken lunch plate with 2 side and cornbread. The chicken was seasoned well but wayyy to big for my liking. I do not like huge hormone injected wings. And personally the side I got the candied yams and corn didn’t have enough flavor. But it was eatable. I was expecting a home coooked meal type of vibe but this not what my granny or even my food taste like. But again it was just okay. Good for the price. The service was really good and quick. I may be back to try other items.“
