“First time eating there. Read Grubhub article in paper. He was wrong in his rating, it's a 5! For anyone really serious about Korean/Japanese fine cooking KOKO is a must. It has been said that we eat with our eyes too. Dishes were finely presented and they tasted as good as they looked. Dishes are light and complex without being fussy. I believe they have set the bar for Asian cuisine in Knoxville.“

“We were trying to find a sushi place on our way to Gatlinburg and I found this place with cheaper-than-what-I'm-used-to-seeing prices and reviews were great so we gave it a try. We ordered to-go on the phone. I ordered about 6 vegan rolls and it came out to a little over $40 which is not bad. When we got there, the place was actually pretty nice and gives you an authentic Japanese ambiance. We noticed the chef of the place comes from a line of sushi chefs in Japan so with that, I upped my expectations. When we got our food, I noticed they were not the size I'm usually used to seeing in California, but instead, they are the kind of sushi where they use inky half of the nori sheet which makes the sushi smaller. Still, I am impressed with the price because I've bought sushi rolls in other restos the same size as this and charges double! Back to the taste, the sushi rolls were fresh and satisfying although they were half the size! The rice was perfect, the veggies inside were great, the toppings added a nice touch to the whole taste of the sushi rolls. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone who comes around this area. Affordable price for really fresh and authentic Japanese sushi!“

“We love Lil Tokyo! The staff always remembers us and has our orders basically memorized. Some of the chefs obviously cook differently than others but I haven't had many BAD chefs there. I like it when they cut the chicken into smaller pieces so sometimes I'll ask them to do that. We love the veggie plate also with broccoli for those that sometimes forego the meat.Vegetarian options: We often get the veggie plate. It's broccoli, carrots, baby corn (I don't know what is actually called lol) we are not even close to vegetarian but we like it.Parking: Plenty of spots. It shares a parking lot with food City and Lowe's so you may not get up front but you won't have to walk far either way.Kid-friendliness: They have kids plates that are just as big as the adult ones but cheaper.Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level with a ramp up the curb. I'm not handicapped but I would imagine it's very easy to get around with it all being one level.“

“My boyfriend and I eat hibachi all the time and was in the area so we decided to try and soooo glad we did!!The crab Rangoon was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot.One lady was serving, bussing and taking care of everyone she was so sweet and attentive.The food was delicious, the review that said the sweet carrots were best in town was not wrong! “We tried sushi and yellow thai curry. They gave us miso soup as sides. All of them were so good, so authentic. True to their description. Nice calm restaurant and you can enjoy a nice meal before you head for your adventure again. 100% recommended.“

“Favorite place. 15 for lunch, 21 for dinner. Plain and simple don't debate, only made fresh unlimited buffet. I mean literally, order you're rolls sashimi, etc. Then your entree's. Eat what you order and you're good. Friendly owners and staff.Order to go, 4-8$ rolls, 7-12$ BIG entrees with rice. Never had one thing missing on an order either. Seriously I do not know why they aren't busier.“

“Excellent choice for sushi and Asian fusion cuisine. Creative rolls! There is a full bar and the bartender Claire is superb! New menu items added and be sure to add what’s available off menu as sometimes there are specialty items you can try.“

“I'm sorry but I can't honestly rate this place legit. I've never got to eat here due to it always booming. It's always a wait time but by the reviews their food looks amazing and always has good reviews. Hopefully someday I'll get the chance to try it out myself.“

“We've done takeout and have dined in and the food is consistently good! Mostly good experiences, but one major complaint, below. We are local and want to support this business! We like the sushi specials. The dining room ambience is just OK, kind of dark and very brown. The young gentleman that is usually there is efficient, but pretty quiet and reserved. Not super welcoming. My big complaint, and why I am compelled to write this review, is that we brought some guests and ate at one of the 2 large round tables with the turntables in the middle. We thought this would be fun to share multiple dishes, and it would be, if that middle 'lazy Susan' turning part actually turned smoothly, and if the glass was clean and not smeared from the last cleaning. Even worse, and the reason for the review, was the used flimsy dollar store type plastic tablecloth on there. You can tell it was reused, who knows how many times. Gross! We should have asked for a fresh one. Come on, guys! It was embarrassing bringing people there nevermind unsanitary, not to mention we spent a good amount on the meal. It's not hard to source tablecloths even if you have to take them home to wash them. Clean this up and we'll gladly be back often with others!“

“Sushi is always amazing. I'm always looking for cheaper(ish) food that isn't fried in Knoxville and having this place be reasonably priced is right up my alley! Always friendly, and always making the food fresh to order. Definitely recommend! If you're ordering online, make sure you walk to the very back of the building at the bar and kitchen door, or else the employees kind of look over you and leave you standing there not knowing what to do or where to go. Other than that, great place.“
