“I love the people and food here, and wish I could give it 5 stars. Everyone of ever encountered have been sweet and professional, and the food is amazing. But I must take off a star for how incredibly strong the smell of cleaning products are here. I've even gotten a "to go" bag from there where the cleaning product smell was attached to the bag.
Kid-friendliness: It's a loud enough place I didn't feel my kids were disruptive. And the staff were very sweet with them.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that worked very well with our stroller.“

“We were staying couple of nights in Memphis and wanted to experience a local BBQ joint. This is about as authentic as it gets! We had beef brisket and pulled pork one night and ribs the next night. Yes, we ate there both nights, it was so good. But the best was the cole slaw! They made it with red cabbage, jalapenos, and blue cheese. The best I've ever eaten. The staff were courteous, kind, and funny. My kind of place! 5 STARS“

“I was in town for meetings with the nonprofit I work for, Carpenter Art Garden and we had an executive lunch here. Apparently our Executive Director eats here very often and loves it. I really liked the wings, the collard greens, and the grits.
However, please note, that if you are lactose intolerant like me that it might not be such a good idea to eat the greens and grits at the same time ??.
Nonetheless, the food was amazing, service was amazing, and I am sure the next time I come back in town that we'll be going back.“

We grabbed dinner here the other night and it was magnificent! THE Mike Garibaldi himself greeted us at the door and introduced us into the restaurant making some recommendations. While we had never been to this location, we’ve been going to Garibaldi’s for many decades.
We started with the pizza bread and you have to know that the bread was probably the softest I’ve ever eaten. I had the spaghetti dinner with meat sauce and Italian spinach on the side. The food was delicious! Hot and flavorful. We also got a cheese pizza that was good as well.
It was great being at a local restaurant owned and managed by one of the longstanding families in the city.“

“Something weird about this Torchy's. Being from Houston and eating at many Torchy's locations, this Memphis location had burritos that were all about 20% smaller than every other location we've eaten at (we ordered 4 burritos, they were ALL small)! Their tortillas seemed a different brand than typical Torchy's tortillas. They were obviously smaller and fluffier than other Torchy's locations. Weird that they're not the same standard company wide.“

“This is a 4.5 place! I had the chitlins, greens, candied yams and it came with a piece of hot water corn bread. My bill was 25.00. It was all soooo good! I literally didn't make it home and just ate in my truck while listening to music. Hattie B. Is so nice and personable. She favors my grandma who just passed last year and meeting her made my heart smile. This is a must go for great soul food. I took it down a half star due to them only excepting cash and I didn't see any seating. It's a lil bit on the pricier side, but it was worth it.
Parking: It's on a one way street and this place has a lot of people that go after church. I parked on the next block literally across the street from the restaurants corner“

“Ate there for the first time today. I knew I was in trouble when the smell of all the spices filled my truck. Whoever the chef is here is an artist. Best ribs I’ve ever had by far and the ox tails were amazing as well. I’ll be back for sure“
“If you have been to Memphis Made in Midtown they have moved. They have a bigger venue with the inside and outside. Came here for the first time with friends and it was popping. Granted they are not this busy during the week. Beers are great, get the Junt, and the folks behind the bar are the best persons you’ll ever meet. They will take care of you and make sure you have a great time here. Cheers to the new location. Come by and say hi to Jake and his staff.“

“Some of the best sushi you will find in Memphis area. I’ve eaten at both restaurants within this week and both excellent. Man who complained about slow service evidently doesn’t know we are in a pandemic and expect service to be the same as before. Patience is key. I will say service was fast both times. Depends on time you go maybe? Worth the wait. Go try it 😉“
