She and I were crazy about the brisket, tender and juicy. Will definitely order it again. BTW, I liked the atmosphere of the dining area. “After reading many positive reviews, we decided to try it for ourselves tonight. We were not disappointed! We both got the catfish plate, one with fries and coleslaw, and the other with fries and baked beans. The catfish filet was huge! Everything was hot and fresh. The baked beans and coleslaw had an amazing flavor. The fries were hot and crispy, as requested. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a delicious meal.”

“Happened to be in Covington and was checking restaurants near by and saw Pappy and Jimmy's. Same owner as the one that was in Memphis, but not seafood anymore, no lobsters in a tank. It's now Southern Home Cooking. Service was great, food was great. A real diamond in the rough if you're looking for some good Southern Food.”

“Came on at 12:00 on a Monday and got seared right away. We both got burgers and the prep time was what a Chef would expect for a fresh cooked burger. Will have to try the chicken next visit. Burgers and fries left no room for dessert. Great service by Kathryn.”
