Carmack's Fish Barn Reviews
My family and I drove all the way from Jackson to have dinner there tonight and it was well worth the hour drive! Everything was delicious and so FRESH from start to finish. Our server, Crystal, was just amazing and so sweet. She took great care of us and made sure we always had everything we needed. The owner was there as well and you can tell how much he cares about his business and his people. We can't wait to come back and see you guys! 10/10 recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We took my dad here for his birthday. We haven’t been since it was rebuilt after the fire. The food was amazing! The slaw was the best I have ever had and the fish was snow white and so delicious. Not only was our food amazing but our waitress was phenomenal. I wish I would have gotten her name but I forgot to. When you get finished eating be sure to take a minute to visit with the donkeys, sheep, and goats. They have food you can buy to feed them. Definitely cannot wait to...read full review

Carmack's Fish Barn is a well-known, family-owned restaurant renowned for its exceptional service and warm southern hospitality. The menu offers generous portions at reasonable prices, featuring standout dishes such as hushpuppies, white beans, and the acclaimed fried catfish, which one customer described as the "best fried catfish I have ever had." In addition to the fried catfish, the restaurant also serves up country fried steak and a variety of sides, including slaw, okra, and fried mushrooms. While mashed potatoes are not an option, the white beans are highly recommended. Although the restaurant is located a bit off the main path, it is well worth the visit for the delicious food and charming atmosphere, which includes the opportunity to interact with friendly goats and donkeys on the premises.
