11/10 wine, 100000000/10 location and staff. Also the best crackers and fudge along with so much fun merchandise. It always feels like stopping by an old friend’s house for a visit.
My husband and I fell in love with this winery years ago after passing the Aaron Tippin billboard one too many times. Since then we have stopped every time we have travelled by. Stonehaus Winery offers free wine tastings and a variety of unique wines, including coral creek, orange squeeze, and muscadine white. The spacious tasting room provides five free tastings, and visitors can enjoy wine slushies, which are very popular and yummy. The staff, like the friendly and knowledgeable hostess, do a good job explaining the wines, especially for those new to wine tasting. Customers can also enjoy wine fudge and purchase bottles such as Reisling. The gift shop is nice, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant, making it a perfect stop for a tasting or to buy local wines. Although the staff sometimes do not explain the wines in detail, visitors appreciate the friendly service and the variety of wines available.
