About Angelos' at the Point

Angelos' at the Point is a great waterfront spot on Douglas Lake with beautiful views of the water. It is a beautiful and cozy place with a great atmosphere, open year round. The spot is beautiful with great scenery. You can eat on the deck in warmer weather. The bar is separate from the dining room, which helps keep the noise down. However, the bar area can sometimes be a loud hangout for locals, which can take away from the serenity.

The service is excellent, very good, and top-notch. The food is fantastic, great, and absolutely amazing. It is a great place for a nice dinner. Specific dishes praised include the very tender and juicy steak tips, the steak medallions, a very tasty and juicy burger, the French onion soup, fried haddock tacos, cream crab soup, haddock and shrimp in a tomato cream sauce, and the mushroom ravioli, which is creamy, rich, and full of flavor. For dessert, the authentic tiramisu is delicious. The wine is also great. Portions are a lot of food. The price for a dinner for two with drinks, appetizers, and entrees is great. It is highly recommended and worth going for dinner.

My husband and I visited recently and Ashley was amazing! She was super quick and attentive and even made recommendations when I couldn’t decide what to order. If you visit Angelo’s ask for Ashley!

One on the tastiest and juiciest burgers I have ever eaten and then added a delicious piece of authentic tiramisu for dessert. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.

While dropping off our son at Carson-Newman, we stopped by Angelo’s at The Point—and wow, what a find! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is top-notch.

But let’s talk about the star of the show: the mushroom ravioli. Creamy, rich, and full of flavor—it’s the kind of dish that will have you coming back again and again. Pair it with a glass of wine, and you’ve got yourself the perfect evening.
