“First time eating there. Read Grubhub article in paper. He was wrong in his rating, it's a 5! For anyone really serious about Korean/Japanese fine cooking KOKO is a must. It has been said that we eat with our eyes too. Dishes were finely presented and they tasted as good as they looked. Dishes are light and complex without being fussy. I believe they have set the bar for Asian cuisine in Knoxville.“

“This was our family's favorite Hibachi/sushi place in Knoxville. Now I live right next door and it's only gotten better over the years.
The servers are always friendly and have an uncanny ability to remember your order from one visit to the next. The food is consistent and delicious. I highly recommend.“

“food was very good and got plenty. I don't like the way they make you pay when you make your order when you walk in. it's has a line for a tip, why would you tip and not been served I tip according to how I was taken care of. this time we hade a very good waitress she checked on us several times through our meal so I left her some cash. I usually don't have cash just sayin“

“Absolutely phenomenal dinner!!! It’s hibachi food but quick and without all the fuss. Got the chicken/steak combo and it’s PLENTY of food and so fresh and delicious! We’re in from out of town and staying nearby. It was definitely a hit! We’d come back here a thousand times if we lived close! The salad is also YUM!“

“Food is always good. Fish is fresh and portions are reasonable. Wait staff has always been impeccable in my 3 years of visiting. Seating is limited but for the price and selection, I'll choose Anaba over Nama any day.“

“My husband and I have always loved your food! I get the Chicken Hibachi Dinner & my husband gets the Steak & Chicken Hibachi. Great portion sizes & highly satisfying meals! Tonight, my Dad got to try it for the first time from The Winery at Seven Springs Farm in Maynardville where your truck was. He said, "Give them recognition! This is phenomenal! Best quality Chicken in Hibachi I've ever had!" Thank you, Kevin and ladies! -Amber“

“Love this place! The Eddie Special is one of the best dishes you can eat in Knoxville! It's not meant to be fancy, just very tasty. I don't know what the deal is with the few people saying the food is bland. Their taste buds are off or they don't know what Japanese food tastes like. As for the person complaining about not getting a fortune cookie, this is Japanese, not Chinese.“

“Stopped by for lunch before a doctor appt. I was greeted at the door by who I assume is the owner, based on our discussion about omakase. I think he was very pleasant, and I got a laugh out of hearing him talking to some jerk on the phone later on during my meal.
The lady who waited on me was very sweet, checking in regularly but never overbearing.
I got two sushi rolls and a bowl of miso soup. It was all very delicious. I really enjoyed the specialty eel roll in particular, and recommend any eel fans try it.
If you need a good lunch spot and you’re in the area, give it a try.“

“This is hands down the best chinese food I've had in a LONG time! Everything was made fresh and the taste was beyond expectations in every way.
We ordered the spring rolls and chicken on a stick for appetizers; the chicken was so flavorful and the spring rolls had a nice crisp crunch when biting into it. ♡
The pork mei fun, beef lo mein and general tso's chef special were amazing as well! The serving was plentiful and the taste was sooo good. The mei fun was probably the best I've ever had; the general tso's was top notch, and the lo mein was hands down my favorite. The veggies were crisp, the meat was tender and the noodles were spot on.
The staff was very friendly and brought everything out quickly. I would definitely recommend eating here and I'm DEFINITELY going to be visiting for dinner again very soon!! ??“

“New review This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but my family and I won’t be going back—and we can’t recommend it anymore. The last time my dad went in, the owner was surprisingly rude when my dad asked for a to-go order. We’ve done that before without any issue, but this time the owner shut it down in a way that felt really unnecessary. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt—maybe it was just a bad day. But today sealed it for us. My mom stopped by around 2:00 to ask a quick question. The sign said they were open (it clearly said they closed at 2:30), but the owner told her he’d forgotten to switch it off and lock the door. Instead of just letting her leave on her own, he physically put his hand on her back and ushered her out. Not a hard push, he was pushing some to speed her up, it was embarrassing for her—she’s 72, and even that kind of “ushering” can be dangerous if she trips or loses balance. She walks at a normal pace, not slow so it was just rude. Honestly, life happens—I get that people close early sometimes. But there’s no reason to be rude, and absolutely no reason to touch someone like that. Not okay, and not worth supporting anymore. - - - Old review I have been eating here since before 2020. It is an amazing hidden Gem restaurant with a great owner and staff. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very comfortable. I would recommend 10 out of 10 if I could.“
