Newk's on Parkside Drive was a great place to eat. It was our favorite place to go on Sundays after church and it was always crowded then. The food was always fresh and the soups and sandwiches were delicious! Sadly, it is now closed permanently. A sign just went up that a Ramen House & Poke Bowl is coming soon. This was a much larger and nicer building (and was always busier at lunch weekdays and on Sundays) than the Cedar Bluff restaurant, so I'm not sure why this one was closed...read full review

I came in to have a sit down lunch and only 1/3 of the dining room is open. I had to take my food to go and don't understand the reason. Keep in mind they do not require a wait staff for service. I will not return until the dining area is back to normal. At least the pizza was good, even if I had to eat it in my vehicle.

Completely average in every way. From the flat and expressionless hostess, to the to-go only service, due to covid, resulting in cold food after a 10 minute drive home, to the mediocre enjoyment from my tongue upon eating it. Price point was also high for the portion:quality ratio.
