Not what I expected for Shoneys. Felt like Gatlinburg had squeezed them into a square box. Food was as expected. Service was great. We did feel cramped, in spite of the lack of customers when we visited. I suppose that was a plus. Gatlinburg can be an hours long wait just to have supper.
I have read the reviews for this restaurant and I was thinking on passing it up. My wife and I was staying in Gatlinburg for our 33 year anniversary. We decided on going and checking it out for ourselves, we grew up going to Shoney’s with our parents while we were growing up. We wasn’t interested in a buffet bar, so I can’t speak on that. We ordered off the menu, she got the turkey club and I got the American cheeseburger. We both commented on how good they were and agreed...
Food was good, we had to go ask for our own refills though. The staff also had a small squabble in front of us. I recommend if u need a quick breakfast. The price was really high for what we got tho.
